I just got a disturbing phone call... (in a good way)

I just got a call from my Girlfriend... (It's my birthday, and we already talked twice...)

seems she was at my place, and grabbing some ammo to plink with... she was in the gun vault (with my dad) and saw my original, 99% Ruger MK-1... the one with the red birdies on the white grips...

It seems like I just gave away a present on my birthday... (kind of backwards, dontcha think?)

Dad and her went out to the range behind my place, and she shot it... (thanks Dad... she doesn't need your help raiding my goody room!)

she shot it better and says it fits her better than her own stainless MK-II... according to my father... (thanks again, dad!) she was shooting a tight 1.5" group at 25 feet...

I guess i'm out another gun here... and a rare collectible to boot!

I also guess it could be worse... she could still be the anti she was 15 years ago!

Marry her? in asecond... if she'd say yes... but alas, she was married before, and doesn't wanna try again... (but she is totally faithful to me, and I to her... for 15 years now!)

I just wish she'd shop for guns somewhere other than MY gun vault!

Isn't that the way it usally goes. Someone elses toys are usually more fun to play with than your own. I made the mistake of letting a girlfriend try my HiPower. She liked it so much I ended up having to buy her a CZ-75 for her birthday. That was 15 years ago. I still to this day miss that gun.

For my last birthday my wife said, "I am going to buy a .22 with a scope for myself, for your birthday!" She did. Bought me a Colt LW XSE Commander for our anniversary, said, "Now I can carry your Springfield Champion, and you can have your .38 back." Ya' gotta love 'em.

Nope... dad ain't moving in on her... he uses my vault and range... and damn near lives at my place when i'm gone...

he was there when she came to grab ammo and shoot...

not to mention dad has a hot girlfriend 10 years younger than him... MY gf isn't in his plans...
