I wanted to say "Thank You" to everyone on this forum. I have asked some questions (rather dumb ones IMHO) and everyone has answered in a friendly way. It is nice to have a forum I can come to and learn all I can about the dark arts of Black Powder.
Now to everyone who just might be reading this: when you are considering buying a BP revolver, DO NOT be afraid to get a brass frame remington. People on several other forums will tell you that any gun that has a brass frame is junk. Here is my response: any gun you abuse and isn't cared for properly will end up being junk. That means don't hot rod your gun. If you take care of the gun, it will take care of you. Brass frames are a great economical way to get started into BP.
For self defense purposes, a brass frame gun will take care of business just as well as a steel gun. A $140 gun kills just as well as a $1,000 gun. IMHO, only those that stick their noses up at certain guns are snooty.
Okay, I'm done ranting. Just some info I wanted to share thus far.
