Hey horseman , Whatcha got loaded up?

At the moment nothing sadly but all hope is not lost I have 7 boxes of factory ammo I’ll shoot to get the brass (I can’t find any brass any where!) so once I get that I’ll be ready as far as load I have ordered 87 grain Berger VLDS, 90 grain Hornady ELDX’s I’ve run across some old 105 grain Amaxes from Hornady as well as some 105 grain bthps not to mention the 100 grain Sierra pro hunters and finally I have some Berger 115 grain VLDS as far as powder I have just about a pound of every powder that is listed for the 6mm arc and the 8lbs of leverevoultion I lucked into will sure help me have something to load for any suggestions on where you would start guys? Lol I hope this answers your questions

i had a gas gun that would shoot 1/2 MOA 5 rounds. but only if you shot it really slow which doesn't entirely defeat the purpose, but mostly does

Just as a pregame for @horsemen61 's update, I went to the range to put the first rounds through my new PSAK-47, and took the ARC along. I didn't have any ammo loaded up, but had been able to pick up 3 boxes of factory 108s and two boxes of factory 105s lately, so I made some brass.

The factory groups tightened up a little bit now that I'm nearing 200 rounds on the barrel:



I'm pretty happy for $26 factory ammo in an autoloader off of a bipod. My new range only goes to 380 yds, but silhouette headshots all the way out weren't too hard.

Bullets are scarce, but I have 200 95gr SSTs waiting in the wings, along with another box of Barnes 105gr match Burners. I saw a bunch of 112gr Match Burners at the shop on Friday, might should have picked those up, but feel like 95gr to 108gr is probably the sweet spot with this little round, maybe the 112s would do well though.

Also, a bit of news, I finally got a positive response from my emails to Legacy Sports, they confirmed that they will be bringing out a Howa Mini in 6mm ARC in 2022. Better later than never, I'll definitely buy one, this little round is too much fun.

Ok guys update so I got to shoot it today! First thoughts love the way this rifle feels in my hands it feels well built and I like the way it shoots I’ve shot 54 rounds through it so far I shot a mix of the precision hunter 103’s and the match 108’s I am excited to see what I can do with hand loads! Now for the good part pics!!!


Now to be fair this is a brand new rifle and I am not shooting as much right now as I should be! So I’m hoping I can tighten up these groups but yeah for now I’m excited so what do y’all think?

Ok did some more shooting this is the 103 grain ELDX PRECISION HUNTER load from Hornady
The first shot I pulled high and the fifth shot went to the right that’s 5 at 100 yards


So I am 69 rounds down the barrel and I have to say she is a lot of fun to shoot!

Oh I forgot to post some of the targets let me get those up this is the first group of the day that is a 105 bthp using staBall 6.5 5 shots at 100yards



next up second group of StaBall



Due note that this barrel has under 100 rounds through the barrel and I haven’t shot near enough lately



next up Leverevoultion

after this first group I was upset because I wasn’t shooting well so I got up and looked for brass I think it helped
Next StaBall group full disclosure I pulled the 4th and fifth shot





That’s all of the groups with the 105’s


Now onto the 87 grain Berger VLD’S









And the final group of the day I was getting tired and it went to pot on me

What loads are you using and what velocities are you getting?

My latest are (21"):
95gr SST + LVR
29.1 - 2783 fps
29.4 - 2788 fps
29.7 - 2,822 fps

105 Match Burner + LVR
28.6 - 2,611 fps
29.2 - 2,714 fps
29.4 - 2,711 fps

LVR seems kind of temperamental though, so I might try Varget or StaBall next.
