Maybe...
I got a hankering for another .41. After several weeks of fruitlessly looking into buying a lower priced, used GP-100 .357 to send to Gary Reeder for a .41 Special conversion, I bid on a couple of stock Blackhawk.41 Mags to compliment my Redhawk. (A Bisley woulda been sweet, but they’re priced a bit out of my range.)
I kept losing the auctions, so when a nice 6.5” with Pachmayr grips showed up I bid what the last one went for.
I guess the old rubber grips weren’t appealing, as it sold for a bunch less than the others did.
So after winning, I sent the difference to Chad at Chigs for some English Walnut panels while I waited for shipping and the mandatory 10- day penalty box (for the children!).
I picked the gun up Sunday and cleaned it, the new grip panels came in the mail today .
I can’t wait to go out and shoot it, once I get back from a quick trip I’ll hit the range and wring it out.
I think this Ol’ hogleg will be the last handgun I’ll buy in Covid-ruined 2020. However... If I see an auto I just can’t live without...
Stay safe.
