If all your guns had to come from one manufacturer...

There is no manufacturer that makes shotguns, rifles, and handguns equally well.

The folks at Beretta might disagree, as I do, with that statement.

Their pistols are very well made, their SO shotguns, some of the best. Their rifles have been taking game for centuries and their quality is WAY above Ruger

I would say springfield or FN. springfield needs a shotgun but overall a 1911 and a .308 could fullfill any forseeable needs i would have. Fn has anything you could need but i wouldnt feel bad if I had either

CZ isn't one manufacturer, it's a bunch of companies

Thank you for clarifying that. I still think the statement that no one company can manufacture all 3 well is a subjective opinion.

CZ,
2075 Rami for a sub compact .40
75 B for a 9mm
92 or Dan Wesson 1911 for a .45
The Cadet kit will get you a .22 pistol
VZ-58 for a Semi Auto tactical rifle
452 for a really nice .22 rifle
and a 712 for a 12g

The only thing they don't have that I'd want is a pump shotgun.

It's kind of funny, but I eventually intend to own this list someday anyways :D

1st , FN, Sure would miss the 1911
2nd, Colt, Sure would miss Awsome firepower But a 7.62 AR is good

Anybody but ruger.

this reminds me of the old skit on Catpain Kangaroo, where you had to find the one that was different and they were playing that song - "one of these kids is doing his own thing..." that's the jingle that popped into my head when i read this post.

personally, i'm not crazy about Rugers. they're good, but not special. however, i gotta say if i was limited to one Mfg. they'd be it.

S&W. They offer the most complete line of QUALITY firearms.

If I could add a second, it'd be Uberti/Cimarron, since they cover all the classic stuff.

Since Sav. nor Rem. make handguns - Ruger

If I didn't have to or want to have a hand gun, Savage or Remington would be my hands-down favarite - by far.
Remington for their shotguns & (secondly) for their rifles and Savage for their rifles, muzzle-loaders & (thirdly) for their shotguns.

I've always thought "Ruger" when thinking of this question.

This thread obviously backs that up. That said, I can see the points made behind CZ or Springfield, depending upon your needs.

Also wonder if Ruger will start making a basic, workman's defensive pump shotty at some point.
