1. AR-15 type rifle/carbine from either A/B/C.

2. Remington 870 Express Super Magnum or any other versions of 870.

3. Beretta 92FS/SIG P226/Glock 17.

4. H&K MP5 if possible. :D

Me:
1. AR15 - type rifle
2. Wilson CQB .45ACP
3. Remington 870 - 18" barrel w/ extended mag, SpecOps stock and Surefire forend.

My wife would choose:
1. Sig. 229 - .40 S&W
2. Sig 239 - .40 S&W
3. Springfield Commander size 1911 in 9mm

There are benefits to marriage beyond the obvious ;)
Here in VA you can only purchase one handgun a month (without CCW) so we tag team it.:)

Id have an Feather RAV-9. The old AT-9s are known for amazing reliability, the gun is extremely light and compact, 9mm are super common, the stock is collapsable, you can take it apart in seconds, hi-cap mags. I still would want the other guns Ive alreay listed but the feather would be a perfect SHTF gun.

Three: Springfield M1A OR FN-FAL. I really like the AKs but the cartridge has limitations not shared by the .308. I think the FAL is the better rifle, but the Springfield is far more easily utilised as a scoped hunting rifle.

Remington 870, with perhaps several stock and bbl options.

Pistol. Difficult. Probably my Colt Combat Commander, but maybe my S&W mod 66. Or then again, maybe one of my 9mm Rugers or Brownings.

m1a loaded or better for 300meters to 800meters

mak-90 or other equvilent 25meters to 200meters

1911 25 meters and closer

1. Night Hawk GRP II/ with bobtail

2. H&K G-36C

3. PSG1

If you can only have three they might as well be good ones.

only 3 guns

if i could only have 3 guns it would definetly be

1.) my mossberg 500; depending on which ammo and choke tube i want to use i can hunt pretty much any damn thing i want to.Not to mention the sound of that thing chambering a round is fairly intimidating if someone was foolish enough to break into my house
2) k98 mauser 8x57; an excellent deer rifle made in nazi germany in 1941 with some historical value to it. Its a good feeling to be able to reach out and touch something at 300 meters
3) wasr 10 7.62x39; a fun rifle to shoot without costing a fortune on ammunition.

2 I have, PGM or Glock would be a very nice addition.
Handgun: FN FiveseveN or Glock 18, w laser&silencer
Rifle: HK G36K/AG36 (5.56&40 combo), has red dot and 3x optics (w optional silencer)
Rifle: PGM 338 LM (cal .338 Lapua Magnum) w Leupold scope and optional can.

No need for shottie, as G36 carbine with can would be adequate HD weapon

I already have them. Here is what they are.

-Browning BPS 12 gauge. 22" barrel

-Sig .45 auto

-InterArms 7mm with Leupold scope.

Tough one...I could go w/:
M1a
Shotgun
P7M8

or I could go w/
P7M8
Colt XSE gov't model
RRA middy

or maybe:
USP Expert 45
Practical BHP
Italian 92fs inox

or :scrutiny:
USP 45
Defender shotgun
10/22

....forget it, my head hurts from the diff't combo's! :D

Let's see: Going somewhere where spare parts might be hard to get like back in time or something:

Glock 26
Glock 18
Kel-Tec Sub-2000 carbine setup for Glock magazines in 9mm

Plus a zillion rounds of that good european subgun 9mm ammo and a variety of Glock mags, including the 31 round G18 mags. All guns use the same mag and I am covered for CCW, battle, and carbine. Sure the 9mm is not the best cartridge but with enough ammo and mags you can get a lot of holes quickly.

More realistic SHTF situation, Red Dawn scenario:

.45 ACP hicap pistol such as Glock 21, XD45, USP, etc. Trijicon sights
Mossberg 590 Mariner with Marinecoat
FN-FAL variant, probably a lightweight Para folding stock model with short barrel and an Eotech holosight.

Attack of the Zombies:

SPAS-12 or similar hicap semiauto street sweeper 12-ga
M60 auto MG with mucho ammo
Ruger Alaskan revolver, stainless, .44mag (for emergency HTH, Coup De Grace of my buddies who are bitten, or myself if necessary)

TEOTWAWKT (no more BATFE) like Mad Max:

12-ga shotty double barrel sawed off right at the end of the foregrip
Stainless steel revolver, probably the Ruger Alaskan again in .44 mag
FN-FAL variant, probably the short barrel lightweight folding Para again with Eotech Holosight, full auto capable. Or one of those new HK's with the same sight.

In post #88, I wrote: "I'd take the first three in my sig line,
at least until I get that 7mm08. Then, I may have to re-evaluate."

But wait! My sig line has evolved. It no longer lists three guns;
only a biological statement about nematocysts.

So, I'll have to re-evaluate my 3 choices.

<Thinks momentarily...>

OK, I'm ready.

1) Remington 870P loaded with 00 (like the one upstairs),
with extra rnds nearby (fanny pack?) in 00, 07, & slugs.
(Should be good for anything from squirrel to birds to deer to violent intruders.)

2) Kahr K9 loaded with some appropriate JHP
(like the one holstered on my right side now).

3) Still a bit open to question, but the strongest contenders now are:
3A) CZ 452 .22LR with scope;
3B) Ruger Frontier rifle in 7mm08;
3C) Truck gun: Savage Stevens 200 in 7mm08 with custom 18-19" barrel,
front mounted scout scope, and back up GR sights.

1. CZ 83 w/ the very rare .22 conversion. Counts as one gun.
2. M1 Carbine
3. 12 ga pump - Mossberg, Remington - no real preference. Maybe a sawed-off double-barrel. If you let me have Class IIIs, a Thompson instead, and a silencer on all the other guns.

My 3 guns

30-30 lever action rifle
12ga shotgun
1911 45acp.

Covers just about anything I want to do which includes hunting, shooting sports (trap etc.), and self/home defense.

I actually know of many ranchers here in Colorado that own these three and nothing else. More that have traded the 1911 for a 357 revolver.

:) :) :) :)

3 is easy, 2 is harder, 1 is really challenging!

If limited to 3 is an easy dilemna. Being limited to 2 is considerably more challenging. Being limited to 1, now that's a stretch!

If limited to 3:
1. Springfield M1A "Loaded"
2. Bushmaster Carbon 15 (Model 21)
3. Colt 1911 Series 70 STS

If limited to 2:
1. Springfield M1A "Loaded"
2. Bushmaster Carbon 15 (Model 21)

If limited to 1:
1. Bushmaster Carbon 15 (Model 21)

General purpose or shtf?

If for general "getting by", I'll take a pump 12ga. (mine's a Mossberg) a .22LR bolt rifle (mine's a Marlin) and a 1911 for CCW (have several but carry a CD)

If for things getting ugly, I'll take my AR (DPMS), my .308 (Savage) and the 1911.
