Impulse Buys??

CannonFodder, if that Maverick is the 8-shot model, remove the barrel and get the wooden dowel to drop out of the hole on the magazine end cap. There was nothing in the documentation about it.

I just picked up another impulse buy. Same shop, again on the way to the range. A Rock River Arms Entry Tactical AR-15.

every one

Anytime I walk in to a gun store and see a new toy I can afford I walk out with it. Last one was a taurus pt92 for $225.

Worst was going to the gunshow with Beetle Bailey and Bambam-31. Ended up buying all the parts to build an RRA AR15. Plus ammo, and an Aimpoint M2, came close to $1400 on impulse buys that day.
... it was worth it though...

You're welcome!

WRT the "impulse buy", I usually methodically plan every purchase but there was this one time. . .

. . . I went to my favorite local gunshop to have the pistolsmith there fit a Kart barrel to my Colt Government. I was supposed to just be "in and out" except the place was pretty crowded and I had to wait to talk to the 'smith. So I started to browse the shelves and notice a used Mosin Nagant behind the counter. It had a Finnish style front sight so I asked to take a closer look. It was a hard to find Finnish M28 Civil Guards rifle for only $100! I'd wanted one for a really long time (actually what I really want is the updated M28/30) so after a quick inspection, I bought it. The sales guy started the paperwork and asked, "Do you see anything else you like? Because we can just put it on the same DROS. . . " :uhoh:

No regrets on that impulse buy as in addition to being historical and uncommon, it shoots pretty well.
