Eariler tonight I went into walmart to pickup some small shoot'n'c targets, some breakfree, and ammo. As I was looking at the cleaning supplies (which are almost behind the ammo counter) I heard someone say "do you need help" in a loud voice. I didn't pay any attention to it because I figured it was someone asking the woman that was standing by the counter. A person came over to where I was kneeling, and said "do you need help" in a loud voice. I said I was just looking at their cleaning supplies and that I was fine. The guy gave me a weird look, and stood watching me. I felt uncomfortable, however I wasn't going to let that ruin my shopping.
After I picked over wat they had for cleaning supplies, I went over to the counter, and asked the guy what ammo they had for .223. He immediately said "there are no guns and ammo sales after 10", A store policy I had no idea existed (Although I figured they would have a policy like that). I responded with something like "Ohh really, thats not good". The guy then responded with a angry tone with something along the lines of "Its not like you need to buy ammo at this hour hanyways ".
I was immediately baffled by that comment, comming from a guy who appeared to be in his late 40s to mid 50s. The way he said it, and the tone he used really offended me. I wouldn't have a problem if it was one of the guys I know at a gun store, saying that because they know I have a lot of ammo, in a joking way. The problem is I only have 40 rounds of 223 for range use, I didn't know this guy, and he acted in a very offensive manner. I didn't even waste my time with him, we had a 5 second stare down contest and I left. I wont be going back to that walmart at night anymore. During the day a really nice group of employees run the ammo counter. They never check my ID (Which is nice because I look like I am 30, and its a hassle to find my ID) they always are nice, and they don't treat me like I am some ****.
Any of you have similar experiances with wally world?
