I have noticed that some shooters have a clear favorite type of handgun which they use all the time. Something else might be carried occasionally but that requires a clear reason, such as needing something much smaller or much more powerful, for some specific purpose.
For me, the all-the-time gun is Colt's Detective. I'm quite impressed with the New Cobra, too.
For a buddy of mine, it is the Browning Hi-Power.
For another buddy it is the Glock 23, or the 27 if he needs better concealment.
Some others (with pretty good reason) are full-time 1911 guys.
So, that's the sort of thing I'm asking about, curious about what guns just work right for the folks here and have earned the status of clear favorites and constant companions.
