Eddie, what kind is that? The gun, not the pumpkin.

That's a Saiga 12 with an Aimshot laser. Those pumpkins didn't stand a chance.

EddieCoyle forgot to tell you he also used a .50 on them, too.
And that's me with the Serbu .50 BMG (which belongs to another THR member).

DF357 = Pilgrim? I didn't know you came here too.

Wow! Whod'a thought you could have so much fun with guns in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts? I didn't know you could even buy ammo in there anymore, let alone pumpkins. :)

Do Senators Kerry and Kennedy know about this terrible carnage?

I wouldn't take this topic lightly!!!

Yeah, you guys are kidding around here ... but ... I hope you take into consideration the pumpkin's feelings!

Last year my wife and I were talking about what we were going to do with our pumpkin ... and it involved my 4" S&W .500.

We were far enough away from the pumpkin - we thought - that he couldn't overhear our conversation. We forgot that out intercom had been left on during that week ... by accident, of course.

Tragically, we left him home alone while we were out. Somehow he got into one of our safes as well as our liquor cabinet.

It didn't take long - we were only out trick or treating for about an hour, or so.

As we approached our home we saw the blinking red lights out front.

A neighbor had apparently heard the shot!

This horrible scene is what greeted us when we entered our house!:what:

... I have not been able to erase that horrible image from my mind.:banghead:

So, I'm warning all of you to be very careful about discussing the means of how you plan to dispose of your pumpkin! Don't let this happen to YOUR pumpkin!

Sorry guys, someone had to warn you!

:D

I like the 12 ga. with sabots at 100 yards, keeps the deer hunting skills honed...the 7.62x54R is fun, also. I'll have to try water in them this year.

This is a great thread! Now I'm all excited to go get some pumpkins.
P.S.- Is it wrong that the Saiga 12 pics turned me on? haha. Someday...

Shooting pumpkins is a terrible, senseless waste of valuable resources.

If you're not putting Tannerite in them, you're wasting your time. Just be sure to wear goggles, and stand WAAAY back (far enough so that you can dodge the bigger chunks).

It's truly frightening how far pumpkin chunks can go.

Now THIS is what you gotta do:

Cut open the pumpkins and fill them with settliene (cant spell  ) and oxygen in tiny bottles. Put them inside of the pumpkins and shoot them, and you have exploding pumpkins. Make sure you use plastic and dont hurt yourself.

As you've probably figured out, a group of us from Northeast Shooters had a pumpkin shoot last Saturday. It was the most fun I've had with my clothes on, and all it took was a couple of hundred pumpkins, 50 shooters, about 500 guns, and a few thousand rounds of ammo. Go figure.

Oh and DTD, I recommend eating nothing but Ramen noodles until you can get the Saiga. It's worth it.

Manedwolf: I like the idea of Tannerite-filled pumpkins. Not all of them, just a few and let them surprise people. I'm going to do it. Believe it or not, Tannerite is still legal in Mass. :neener:

The horror, the horror!

Great post:) :)

I've tried shooting at pumpkins with a 12 gauge before. Just left big holes in them, but they didn't "explode."

Now, rotten cantaloupe with a .223 is fun! I've even got some video lying somewhere around here...

I'll have to try the water-filled pumpkins this year!
