Here's my SLR-95, bought it back in 2001(?) for around $389. It's a great shooter and has been utterly reliable. I've since installed the required number of U.S. made parts to keep it legally in this configuration.
I've had the Ultimak mount on it with an Aimpoint CompC and also with a Micro H-1. I just could not like it that way and it felt awkward. So now it's back to original aside from the TLR-1 light I installed.

For those of you that have the TAPCO stocks, how do you like them? I've haven't heard good things about tapco so i welcome any feedback?

How about the others? I'm specifically interested in a dark earth or OD green stock set. Anyone find some they like or dislike?

for the people with saigas, when removing the gas tube, do you have to remove the front handguard? I find it that I have to remove it every time I disassemble. Also, what is the purpose of the metal O ring that fits on the end of the gas tube?

I've had a Tapco Folder on mine for over a year. It still locks tight and there is absolutely no play or rattle.

I really like my Ace stock, and have used wire folders with good success as well. The Tapco Intrafuse isn't too shabby, especially for the price. If you want aluminum, the DPH forearm is also really good.
