My trips to the range today included my Gold Cup, which I've had almost five years. It ran 100%, and as usual was more accurate than I was even with bulk Magtech bullets over thrown charges of Unique. I got this pistol as part of a trade where i divested myself of a Glock 22 with a few accessories. I didn't like the Glock, and with Y2K coming up a Glock with a coupel og hi-caps and a bunch of ammo brought a premium. This is the "keeping the faith " part.
The other gun I fired to day was a new to me Glock 17 which was an early Christmas present. The availability of hi cap mags had gotten me thinking about trying a Tupperwear gun again, and with the help of my favorite local dealer, I was set. After a few rounds for familiarization, and drifting the rear sight a bit, this thing shot GREAT!! ( here's the heresy.) Off hand groups were a but larger than with the Gold Cup, but only by 25% or so.
Function was 100% with both. Surprisingly, there was no problem shifting back and forth between the two guns.
I love my Colts, but this Glock is going to see some CCW time, beginning now.
