...just carry an AirSoft?

1. They are also made outta plastic.

2. They have about the same stopping power.

3. They COST LESS!

4. They are cheaper to shoot.

5. They look more intimidating to the attacker!

Well - everything you said above is true with two exceptions. #2 is simply confrontational and doesn't deserve more comment than that. #5 is debatable and only based on the personal opinion of whoever is making the assment.

Given that #2 is BS, All the rest of points would apply to about 99.9% of the plastic sidearms all THR users may carry, be they expensive customs or lowly Kel-Tecs.

Exactly what was your point?

Cool.

You grab your toy air gun, and I'll grab my toy P11, and let's play some force on force games.

A Google search turned up only 161 hits for "AirSoft" + "limp wristing"!

That settles it then. You can't argue with hard numbers
arrived at through scientific research. :D

Google rocks! :D

I like the P3AT's even though I currently do not own one but I did and it worked fine for me - I just sold it to get something else. However, I do see another P3AT in my future.

Gee, I thought the P11 was a 9mm - I said Kel-Tec .32s & .380s!

And I never said that I carry a TOY gun.

You really ought to read the posts you are going to argue with more carefully!

I just did a Google search on "Glock" and "kaboom," and got the following: "Results 1 - 10 of about 15,300 for kaboom glock..." I guess that proves that Glocks go kaboom at lot!:) On the other hand, my "Keltec" and "kaboom" search gave: "Results 1 - 10 of about 1,410 for keltec kaboom..." So, that proves that Glock's go kaboom 15 times more often than Keltecs. Wow, ain't Google great!:)

Marshall, I suspect your post may be Tongue In Cheek, but I'll respond anyway.

Your Google search "may prove" there are 15 times more Glock kabooms than Kel Tec kabooms, but there may also be 99 times as many Glocks in use. (The ratio of 15,300 to 1,410 is less than 11 to 1, not 15 to 1.)

Also, most kabooms are with high pressure rounds like .40 S&W. There has to be many, many times as many Glocks in.40 S&W as Kel Tec. Kel Tec discontinued making pistols in this caliber because of all the complaints and returns they had with the P-40.

Please do not question the brilliance that is Google search-logic theory.

It was given to us like magical fire came to the cavemen- we must not foolishly extinguish it before we use it reach the stars....

Then I realized there is a marshall3 ;)

best gun

I'm putting away my Kel-tec because I found the best gun out there according to Goggle: Lorcin+limp+wrist only came up with 55 hits.

We found a champion! :p

I'll pull out my Lorcin and carry it now. Let's hope the slide doesn't fall off again.

Seriously, guys, you are cracking me up with your philosophical and scientific methods of research. :D If the thread keeps on adding light-hearted replies, let's keep it rolling. I think we all quit being mean-spirited a page or so ago and are just having fun now.

javelin man,

oh yeah? well, well i jut did a google search on "the high road" and "fun" and came up with, uh, there were, um.....

never mind.

Who was arguing? I just said I wanted to play.

Besides - you may not normally carry what you call a "toy" gun - but I didn't invite you to bring what you carry. I invited you to bring what should be a fair game against my "toy" (according to you) gun.

Ok... I'd still like to play. How about if you bring your toy airsoft, and I'll bring my "toy" P32? If you really think the P32 is a toy, I wouldn't think this would be much of a problem for you.

RonJon- Janitor said he wanted to play, but didn't say he was going to play by your rules.
Rules? There are rules?

Oh ... then I suppose the "toy" edged weapons would be right out then. :)

I don't own an AirSoft, nor do I want to (nor do I want a Kel-Tec), but I do have these to choose from:

S&W%20Frames.JPG

Which one do I carry? - Depends upon my mood! ;)

When TSHTF, I'll be in the mood!:what: - So far it hasn't happened

P.S. These only represent a very small portion of my handgun collection.

I took the picture above to illustrate S&W frames (from bottom to top) J; K; L; N; and X.

I have a LOT more semi-autos and revolvers.

And don't even bring up my war rifle collection, which is my main interest.

P.S. My home is 100% Kel-Tec free!

Ok. You win. The photo is proof.

You're obviously larger, wiser, and faster than all these people who like something that you don't care for. I mean - you have a bunch of revolvers - how could you NOT know what you're talking about?

Or did you have some other point to make with that photo?

:D

Good deal. And you won't even have to worry about me and my toy P32.

I suck so badly with it, that you're safest position is probably directly downrange. ;)

Seems to be a typical K-T thread. It seems that only Glocks and Series II Kimbers generate as much emotional outpouring as K-Ts!

FWIW, I bought a 1st Gen P-3AT last Christmas time, after much mental deliberation reading posts at the KTOG site. I bought it expecting to tweak it for reliability.

Surprise, surprise! With zero work on it: no cleaning factory shipping lube, no fluff & buff, nothing - 100% reliability out-of-the box.

Is it my favorite handgun? Nope, that's reserved for my Kimber Compact CDP (series "1"), but in the heat wearing shorts the Kimber doesn't conceal like the K-T.

And, in almost forty years of owning probably 15 different handguns most of the guns worked every time I pulled the trigger, but not all. The Kimber is sensitive to fouling, so I keep it (reasonably) clean. The absolute worst one I've had was a S&W Model 28 Highway Patrolman. The cylinder pin would work loose and lock it up. Had internal parts break, etc. etc. etc. Didn't keep me from buying other Smiths, though.

YMMV.
