Former Kel-Tec owner (P-11 and P-40) ... have shot a family member's PT-111 extensively, wife owns a PT-145.
The Taurus PT-1xx series triggers, though incredibly long, seem much better to me than the K-T triggers (my P-11 broke apart, the P-40 was simply possessed of the most horrid trigger I've ever experienced and brutal recoil). Our PT-145, OTOH, is a supremely reliable, amazingly accurate little piece of relatively soft-recoiling 10+1 rounds of .45 ACP. The 111 I've shot is similarly reliable and a great little package for concealed carry.
I've used Taurus' (sometimes criticized) customer service, and found it excellent.
I'd go with the Taurus, though I do know many knowledgeable gun-people (whose opinions and experience I respect) who are Kel-Tec converts ...
I also like the S&W Airweights, a lot ... though capacity may be an issue, they are cool, and superb little revolvers ...
Kahrs, on the other hand ... good boat anchors ...
