Kel tec PLR-16 vs. MPA MAC style 9mm/45acp

I need a gun to show my ass with, lol. I've narrowed it down to either a Kel tec plr16 or a MPA Mac style pistol. From what I hear both are reliable for what they are. Both have high mag capacities and from what I hear are fun range toys. I understand neither have a real practical use. So if you've owned or shot one or both of these, which would you choose?
 
I'm kinda leaning towards the mpa too after watching a youtube video of a guy melting the bottom part of his forend off of a plr16 after running through 5 30rd mags. Not that I'd ever shoot that much at once but why would you build something like that.
 
I've had a PLR-16 for a few years. It's been reliable, fun, and very accurate.
 
You obviously need a Desert Eagle with a metallic-urine-colored tiger stripe finish. And a necklace to match. Don't forget to hold it sideways.
 
And I could get those new homeboy glock sights that mount on the side of your gun so that when you turn it sideways you can still aim it, lol.

You understand wrong.

The MAC style guns are PDW's, and in full auto with their high rates of fire, can be quite effective. Now, a semi-auto civilian version? Just an overweight handgun with crappy ergos.

The PLR, however, is a very light-weight and highly accurate large handgun that fires a rifle cartridge. Definitely useful. With the shoulder sling, it is practically an SBR that falls under title I regs. I've owned two, sold one when money was tight. I'll never let the other one go, though.

PLR gets my vote.
 
The "cool" factor of the PLR-16 is greatly enhanced by its awesome muzzle blast and flash. Search for posts here on the PLR-16 and some impressive photos should show up.

I've got both, the MPA 9mm is cheaper to shoot but I don't shoot either enough for it to matter.
 
PLR-16 gets my vote. Mine is a blast to shoot. Gets lots of looks and questions at the range. I am told they can keep a one inch group at 100 yards, with a good scope, not really sure about that, but 50 yards with EoTec is less than an inch if I do my part.
 
My choice was the PLR16; I bought mine when they first came out, neat littlte gun and since I have plenty of AR mags it was a plus.

Intelligent Design

Often overlooked is the PLR's very clever take-down procedure, very well thought out. Also it is speced for the NATO 5.56, a little huskier than the .223.

My only problem with the PLR design is cleaning. I find it hard to get a chamber brush in the chamber due to the angle the rod has to be at, other than that great little gun.

Try using a Otis flex cable; works great! :)

That's why I actually sold my PLR16. Fun to shoot, but once the novelty wore off, I couldn't find a practical use for it. :)

they are both completely different guns with different calibers. Neither has a real practical use, one shoots a rifle cal and the other a pistol round. Here is a link to a tricked out MPA 9mm since the previous photos are both Kel Tec-

There are lots options for to add to any MPA gun but they are heavy, blocky type guns in the OEM configuration. The Kel Tec is mostly plastic and most parts are glued in place. I.E. barrel into the upper or barrel nut and the Kel Tec barrels are composed of the cheapest steel there is. We thread the longer version, (TEC SU 16A & SUB 2000 .223) and the shallow depth of the rifling shows the quality or lack of as well.

One more question, which MPA has more accessories available, the 9mm or the 45? Which has more accessability to replacement parts? Which is more durable/reliable? Thanks for any info.
