A prediction, after the novelty of the P2000 9mm 33 round tube carbine wears off following a few trips to the range where at $50 dollars a trip (just for that gun) renders this item undesireable and a dust collector I will find one. That same person isn't going to need a briefcase "rifle" in a marginal caliber. ;)

I would venture a guess that at the next couple of gun shows in the East TN area I will find one either slung over someones shoulder for $250-300 including the mags or on a table for $350.

Savage, your YouTube evaluation and the one done by Nut N Fancy got me fired up to buy one. I recalled looking at them some time back and thinking, yeah, I remember those, $300, now is the time. Started looking around at the price and changed my mind. $400 carbine, $100 in magazines for sure, put some optics on it even some inexpensive ones and you have a $600 dollar rifle that is a highly specialized item that's main claim to fame is it folds in half.

I agree with Savage - Optics are not useful for the Kel-Tec Sub 2K. Go with an LED light, or a laser. The Sub 2K is a fast-pointing short range defensive weapon. Excellent nightstand gun.

My brother has one. He paid $300.00. First thing he did was replace the sights. It's also a Jam-o-matic and FTF every3-4 rounds. The plastic around the ejection port is already chipped and cracked. It's going back for repair or replacement but it looks, acts, and feels like a piece of crap.

The sub2k has the most horrible sights I've ever used.

It will conceal. GREAT for a go-bag or trunk-gun. It will bump fire. I had no problem hitting 200 yard steel with it... but the sights suck.
The sights suck, but you had no problem hitting steel at 200 yards with a pistol cartridge? Did I miss something?

I got the sub2000 9mm in Glock configuration.

Picked mine up used for $100.

Very reliable and accurate. Glock Hi-caps are cheap, due to the Korean made ones.

My only issue with the gun is the front site. Its made of brittle orange plastic and tends to break easily.

Red Lion makes a AR style front site replacement with a compensator for about $100. This new site allows you too still fold the gun.

I added an AK side plate to the forearm and got a quick release AK mount to put my optics on. Works like a charm!!!

Note: I had to mount it on the right side of the forearm due to the guns rear site. So, the scope mount slides on backwards. If you do this to your gun you will have to add a washer under the mount to counter the forearms taper.
