Kids making guns?!

My friends and I built a potato cannon from PVC pipe with a barbecue-spark igniter and hairspray as fuel, in 9th grade.

(I'm the one in the yellow shirt.)

Seriously, making things that go boom is part of being a kid. Heck, even an adult enjoys things blowing up every now and then.

I think we're becoming a little paranoid here. Making things that go boom is far too easy and common to be considered terrorism. Heck, would I be put away for 50 years for having a box of firecrackers in my closet?

I don't know what they laws are but this just seems too far-fetched.

Not at all, but what i used was some some type of powder tried different types, I had made an empty c02 cartridge filled with powder and some cannon fuse, a short piece of drilled and capped pipe, with powder and fuse, also 30-06 casings and 50 caliber casings worked great as well. The problem was they were meant to explode, detonate or whatever you want to call it; therefore, by design a destructive device. So, my point is if it explodes and is made to do so it is a destructive device.

Now cannons on the other hand are perfectly legal I am not saying it's not moronic that you can't make some small stuff blow up but they can and do have the power to lock you up for a very long time.

I "almost" lost might 2A rights forever because of it, luckily they plea bargained it down. I had no idea of what the consequences were at the time.

I argued with that guy, and he swears I'm stupid because he obviously knows math and science and I do not. He shoots half-loaded 12GA and acts like it's a normal one...good way to loose a hand if you ask me.

Mil-spec, that video was a joke. I saw it too. There is absolutely no way that plastic would contain the blast from a .22 cartridge, unless it was a few inches thick.

Did you see those airsoft pellets put into the spent .22 casing? I guess the kid fooled you.

It probably worked it just lowered the pressure to a safe point. He also stated the inside of the pen barrel was metal reinforced.
