Agricola, I can't smoke any weed or I would loose my job and .Wouldn't touch the stuff, anyway, because it is likely to damage ones brain-so in my job I need a sharp brain,or I am of no use.I have seen what it has done to one of my friends in Canada and it has made him mentally unstable,-permantely.
If the Conservatives get elected in 2009 General Election, then maybe just maybe,we might get our pistols back, airguns will be left alone and finally the end of the antis influence on the government.
Read my posts again please,I said That they MIGHT,not that they actually will.Under the leadership of Micheal Howard,it might have been possible, but Cameron is too liberal in his ways-it seems.I know that it might not happen, but there are some hardliners in his party, that might support relaxations in the law-so anything could be possible in the future. We might even end up with licensing permits for them, then at least we can still own them.
As for airguns,Howard said that he would leave them alone,Cameron might not, because he seems to be a liberal big-head-who has used drugs. So he probably has smoked weed-and damaged his rationality.Perhaps I shouldn't have said will, because I underestimated Camerons new Tory party.
It seems easier to ban then to use sensible restrictions, for the law-abiding citizens.
In saying that the Tories are two-faced anyway and most of the shooting-community distrusts their efforts anyway. If we look at how they failed to support the shooting-community in the past and how they sent Micheal Howard visit, the various countryside meetings,to discuss shooting strategies-to smooth thing over.
The respective lobbies for guns in the Uk,should draw up licensing strategies for knives, airguns, airsoft replica,to stop any government bans from happening. But they won't,because they would think that it was inappropriate anyway,so the pro crowd might loose the battle, sooner rather than later.
Personally I do not care whether or not you actually think that I am talking rubbish about, the current status quo, regarding knives,in the VCR bill-hoping that Cameron will reverse his policies-if elected in 2009.The fact is we might get some reversed, then again with a liberal big-head like him,it might be somewhat difficult to persuade him and other like-minded members of the Tory party.
If the Liberal Democrats win the General Election in 2009,then we most certainly haven't got a snowballs chance in hell,of getting any bans or drafted-bans,reversed at all. Then,if this happens, we are pretty much finished as a nation of a minority of shooters and knife owners.
The point is,members of the shooting community(Including airsoft and airgun enthusiasts.)have not given up the fight,to remove one of the clauses from the bill, banning airsoft guns and some realistic pellet guns.
You might be negative about the future of our freedoms towards certain things, but the fight isn't over yet. That is why Cameron, needs to get a few home truths about certain things, through his big head.As for 2009,it is three years from now,so you can't be certain about the future-you can only guess it.
As for the Liberal Democrats, well no chance and I would agree with you, that someone has definately been smoking alot of weed and popping pills,if they said that the Liberals supported gun and knife rights.
