Know of any stainless 1911's without front cocking serations?

Know of any stainless 1911's without front cocking serations?
I know that colt's glod cup trophy lacks them. Also, the kimber compact and springfield compact models don't have them. Looks are a perogative since i'm shopping for a 1911. do you know of any others with nice looking slides that don't have the cocking serations? Want a pistol thats loaded too, so that also narrows it down.

I believe Springfield makes their GI and Mil-spec models in stainless.

If you're okay with a 4.25" barrel, there's the Dan Wesson Commander Classic Bobtail (and a number of other companies make serration-less commanders).

Colt's base models (Series 80 and Series 70, 5" barrel) are FCS-less.

My Dan Wesson CBOB has not front serrations...one of the reasons I got one

Thats odd......why wouldnt you want the front serrations????? I dont want a gun without them. It makes it so easy to clear the weapon. And personally i like the looks a lil better, but mostly for ease and safety.

I agree 150% So called inventer of them should be....... Well can't say here. Ive tried. Now I just won't buy if their made that way.

Honestly, I used to HATE FCS also. But, they really do aid in press-checks. Trying to presscheck a Colt is a PITA since I use the underhand method to check the chamber.

I like the thin FCS such as on the Baers and Rock Rivers. Nice traction, and useful. I do prefer clean slide, but for practicality purposes the FCS do help for me. But it's all a matter of preference.

That's what I thought when I bought my DW Razorback. What I have learned is that they shred the hell out of leather.

Functionally I like them, looks wise I could care less, but they are awfully hard on holsters.

In every poll I've seen on various forums, it seems the 50% like them, 50% don't.

And yet, it's not even an option on many production models. Can't even order them unless you buy a standard model and build up...at great cost.

That's the way to listen to your customers. And these are companies that have 40-70 different models, so I don't buy "machine changeovers", etc.

Edit: And, you don't need FS to press check that way. Not unless you have grease on your fingers!

I can live with (or without) them, but I prefer the traditional clean look on

I'm not keen on front serrations either,but I'm even more fussy, I like the rear serrations to go straight up and down, not angled in line with the grip and I prefer arched mainspring housings, that package looks classic Colt. Did I mention that I like the big C word in the brand as well?

This is my current one and apart from the angle of the dangle on the rear serrations, it looks ok to me. Unfortunately, I was in attendance when my gun dealer mate (operates from home, sells to friends and members of the gun club, doesn't do much business, more convienence than anything else) picked it up as his new gun. He is a Colt and Sig fanatic. As he was picking it up, the dealer he bought it off told him about the new Sig that had just came out and more than anything else he lovesssssssssss the 357SIG. He immediately ordered one and then asked 'what am I going to do with this one?' I said, I'll take it, so he handed me the invoice and said you can have it for the invoice price. Gun, dies, 300PMC factory loads, 1000x new Winchester brass. I was so hot for it, I overlooked the serrations on this occasion.

I never noticed it before, but the old Commander in the pic seems to have a much more prominent mainspring housing.

I have a friend that likes FCS so much that he milled them into his Glock.

I can see the point about holster wear, but i would rather know i have a sure grip and buy a holster ever so often, than have the slide to slip while clearing.
