I got this old Krag over a decade ago. It was already sporterized. I refinished the stock myself and had it reblued. I finally bought the S&K Instamount and inletted the stock last night and mounted the scope. This is the first rifle I’ve ever had to not have a scope mounted directly on top of the barrel. How should I accurize it to the rifle seeing how no matter what, the bullet and scope will “X” at some point? Any advice?
Here are some pics. The silver Leupold is the only spare scope I had handy. I think a black scope would look better.
