An investigation has been launched to determine who leaked the home video
As if they didn't see the video camera, tripod, and videographer in the back of the room well before Dorkboy shot himself.

The only "intelligence leak" in this circumstance was out of the side of Rastaman's brain!

They're too late. I've saved it to my hard drive and distributed it on CD to dozens of friends already. :neener:

That's not tragic. A child getting hit by a bus is tragic. This is comedy.
I agree. If the guy had killed himself, it would be a very sad story. But, he was able to walk (well, limp) away from the incident with a reality check and a sore foot.

This tool will probably get an award now since he's DEA

"Wounded in the performance of his duties" I bet it reads something like this.....Moral of the story is......Even when we are WRONG, we are RIGHT!!!!!!!!! :uhoh:

PS +1 to the post about the worlds IQ being static as the population icreases :)
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

When I saw the video, and the guy bragging about his own professionalism, you know what it reminded me of? A short-lived TV cop comedy which was on some years ago called "Sledge Hammer." The title character, Inspector Hammer, was supposed to be a parody of Dirty Harry. His trademark comment was "Trust me - I know what I'm doing."

OKAY...
What am I missing here?

The guy talks about a Glock 40. WHAT the HECK is a Glock 40? I've never heard of one and a quick check of the Glock web site doesn't list one in their product list.

I bet this moron thinks there's the invisible Glock 7 too.

Is this the kind of knowledgeable fool my tax dollars are paying for?

ASIDE: Is he possibly talking about a Glock that is chambered in .40 S&W?

"His identity is burned. His identity is known as a police officer and its a potential personal safety hazard to himself as well as his family members."

This guy's identity being revealed in an internet video should be the last of his personal safety concerns.

Ummmm.......no. I've never had any reason to shoot at a tile floor...

I do agree, though, that he's one lucky summabeach...

"It puts a lot of undercover agents in jeopardy if their faces are videotaped," the masked agent told Local 6 News. "His identity is burned. His identity is known as a police officer and its a potential personal safety hazard to himself as well as his family members."

Uhh, doesn't his stupidity put agents at risk? Why is it that his demonstratable inability to safely handle firearms is not an issue, but just the fact that it was videotaped is???

Some bureaucrat has his priorities all in the wrong order.

Oh, and a friend of mine who's a Federal LEO says this guy will almost certainly be able to draw disability pay, no matter what else happens... :fire:

Where exactly did he go wrong? It appears that at one point he had the slide locked back; was the magazine removed? I couldn't tell from what I saw. It seems like he showed the gun's chamber to someone off screen, presumably as a double check of empty status, but obviously there was some confusion on that question, as it were . . .

He made the classic mistake of racking the slide back, with loaded mag inserted, to demonstrate the empty chamber -- then closing the slide, not realizing he's just loaded the chamber. Then he pulled the trigger, probably to release the striker spring tension, and BOOM!

To paraphrase the classic, "Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun..."

"Rasta-Agent's gun has shot more people than my entire firearms collection and that of anyone in my circle of gunnie friends or even remote acquaintances"

If you can, try to find the video clip which shows the beginning of his presentation to the class. He rambles on and on about the slavery of his people and even holds up leg-irons to drive home his point.

Don't be led to the conclusion that this is a fringe, out-of-the-mainstream DEA agent. His mannerisms are clownish and over-the-top, but his views are representative of far more Federal agents (DEA, BATF, or otherwise) than many of us would care to admit.

oops

i would love to have a copy of the vidio i teach hunter ed firearms safty it would be great to have to show kids how not to do it

Ironic; not "tragic"

"This episode was tragic, and given its quick spread across the internet, won't do gunowners any good."

NONSENSE! An arrogant cretin shooting himself is not tragic; it is ironic - "Hoist on his own petard," as the saying goes. Had he shot one of the children watching his incompetence - as the buffoon in Philly bloody near did - it would have been tragic. Read a dictionary and learn the difference.

"Whatever one's feelings about the DEA, the fact remains, that allowing gun safety lectures in public schools is probably a good thing -- at least as far as I'm concerned."

This was NOT a "gun safety" lecture in Eddie Eagle sense. It was apparently part of his establishing his "creds" for his spiel about gangs and drugs being poor choices. He was NOT there to educate them about firearms safety.

"Clearly, the gentleman in question should not have been our poster guy for the RKBA movement and gun safety programs, but give credit to the school for at least allowing someone with good intentions (albeit bad instructional technique leading to negative results) into the school in an attempt to impart some level of firearms knowledge to the children. "

WRONG, wrong, wrong. Rasta Man was NOT "our poster guy for the RKBA movement and gun safety programs," despite your delusional insistence that he was. He was NOT an advocate for the Second Amendment or firearms familiarization; he was an eliteist twit who was pompously declaring his superior skill while blowing a hole in his leg. Better his thigh than a child's head.

All these kids learned was that guns "go off." If that's your idea of a "gun safety lecture," you're on the wrong forum. Go Google the Million Mommies... :barf:

Ding! ding! ding! We have a winner.

Forgive me, but I did not read through all the posts, but I have to ask:

Was he arrested for unlawful or negligent discharge of a firearm (within city limits maybe, etc.)?

If I went to the hospital with a hole in my foot from a bullet wound, you better believe I'd probably end-up behind bars or at least paying some hefty fines.

Rule #1- Every Firearm is loaded! ;)

I'm sorry gang but I laughed so hard I damn near herniated something. When I first heard of this video I thought it was a joke of some sort. Well, it appears that the video is real. :what:

You just can't make this stuff up!

He's probably lost the Rasta look by now.

He doesn't have to worry about UC work. He'll probably be promoted to management, if you know how the government works.

If a school really cared about teaching their children gun safety, they would bring in the NRA. Any NRA certified instructor could have done 100x better than the sort of buffoon that schools typically bring in, as evidenced by that video.

It's already been said...

...but after watching that video clip, I am again reminded as to how failed our government can be in many of its offices. Yes, not only was this jackass a show boater - he could barely speak english correctly. He could have killed a student(s). This is the example of LEO we want children seeing as examples to look up to? Well... anyway he spoiled that for himself. Just think how many DEA and other agency people like him being sent as examples to the youth of America... I am not left with the feeling he was one in a million.
