Lindsay Lohan: I'm taking shooting lessons.

I think you guys may be missing the point a little bit on this one.

Lohan's reputation has been getting a major thrashing in the media ever since that producer sent her an open letter chastising her for basically screwing up his movie with her childish antics. All of this noise about her having a stalker is a move by her PR people to change her status from 'brat' to 'sympathetic victim'. Stalkers are all the rage in Hollywood these days, and you just haven't really made the big time until you've had a few.

The part about the shooting lessons is just in there to drum up more sympathy, because in the screwed-up universe these people live in, the only people who take shooting lessons are those who are redneck idiots, wanna-be serial killers, or people in fear for their life.

Personally...

I would not know Lindsey Lohan from a barbecued rhino. It does not say anywhere that she is Pro2k. It just says she wants to take shooting lessons.... If she is like any other of these whacky Di-Fi types, it just means "It's ok for me to have guns, but not you"

Even Rosie O'donnell has armed bodyguards... Although, have you noticed, she never has any stalkers..... I wonder why?

Until Lindsey comes out as pro2k for everyone, i'll reserve my judgement

I agree with that statemet! Sean Penn, Di Fi, and other wackos in LALA land think its ok for them to have extra protection, and to protect themselves. There was a video on TMZ Lohan was shopping and she wined about a couple photographers on the street taking pics of her, and quickly a LA county CHIP comes up and yells on his speaker and even warns people just walking down the street to leave. Lohan as she drives away her and her friend laugh and joke about it how the cops are giving them tickets.

None of us normal people get special treatment, or response time from LEOs.

The people in LALA land have a distorted view on reality. They think their views are supurior to none, and treat us common folks like we are animals, and can't be trusted with anything. If you live outside California, Miami, NYC you are nothing more than a Hick, or Redneck in their views:cuss:

While Im not knocking on all famous people, because there are still alot of good ones that go out of their way for their fans, and help the common folk, but the amount of filth coming out of Hollywood is on the increase.

(Eyes rolling,) I know full well a small female can shoot just fine.

I just doubt that she is serious enough about her protecting her life to ever use a gun in self-defense. This is where her lifestyle absolutely IS relevant. Right now, she's trying to die before she hits 25.

FYI, She is also traveling to Iraq with her favorite politican (according to her), Hillary C. That alone tells me enough about her beliefs. She more than likely is another well off, spolied, famous person who believes she has more inheriant rights than the great unwashed multitude.

He is a totally irrational hoplophobe, having apparently had some sort of bad gun experience as a child.

He is also a hypocrite... it's okay for his security firm to be armed to the teeth but not us peons
Yep Tallpine, I do aggree with those statements in general though I don't know all the details. That's why I haven't applied to work for his firm even though I'm qualified (doesn't mean they'd hire me, don't wanna sound arrogant;) ).

Just because he is a hoplophobe doesn't invalidate his information and expertise on those things not having to do with guns. If I had a choice between someone I love who was being stalked following all his advice and not get a gun vs being totally clueless and have a gun...I'd rather they followed his advice.

Of course, in the real world vs the hypothetical, one could read his books to gain good insight into how to handle potentially violent situations AND own/carry a firearm for those emergencies when no other strategy will work. His methods for evaluating stalking/threat situations are outstanding and standard instruction in high level Executive Protection schools. A person would be well advised to both read "The Gift Of Fear" and get a firearm and competent instruction.

It would be a huge disservice to any future clients to disregard information that may help save their life because the originator doesn't like guns. My wife is gonna get his book on protecting children, I plan to read it when I get home. I won't be around my daughter 24/7 with my CCW and she's a long ways away (19 1/2 years) from getting her own.

Amen. Lohan is certainly not an advocate for CCW rights. She has proven to be only an advocate for Lohan rights. Anyone WAITING to travel to see and entertain troops, until they can go with a favorite POL is going for all the wrong reasons. I say keep her home. :fire:

I bet she votes for Boxster, or Feinstein too. Thats if she does vote.

Yes I wonder how being stoned or drunk will affect her.

.

My teenage daughter likes to spend money
on Robertson Blvd. (There's a strip north
of Wilshire in Beverly Hills where "stars"
hang out.)

We joke about looking out for Lindsay's car
before crossing the street.

On the last trip, we did see Carla Gugino, one
of many babes in "Sin City" coming out of the
Ivy (a restaurant movie people use to be seen).
