those look like they would be good in a lever gun, how much do they run.
thanks i may have to get some to try in my marlin and give some to my dad for his ruger blackhawkAround $48 per 500, with 5 dollar flat shipping. They're hard cast (says 18 BHN on the website) and the coating says good for 2,400 FPS (With an extreme max of 2,700) so they'll handle lever gun velocities nicely. The bullets have a good crimp groove so they'll be fine in a tubular mag.
I think you can ask for different colors, too. I've seen tan, zombie green, blue, purple, etc. I have some olive drab .44 bullets I'm going to load next...
Stay safe!
Eggleston are powder coat and Acme uses hitec.I shoot Acme coated in both my 357 and 38. They must be using the same coating because they look just like lipstick also. It looked a little weird at first but you get used to it. I also load those in 45 acp.
I've noticed some spark or muzzle flash with those. Might be the coating, don't know.
u can still use all that if you powder coat. You'all need to stop talking about Powder Coating! I have a pretty heavy investment in sizers, sizing dies, top punches and lube! I hate to swap horses this late in life. Even though I do recognize all of the advantages of PC.
So for doing it at home PC is easier/better?It's a lot more foolproof to apply than Hi-Tek.
