Local Walmart Ar's

WW in AL and GA have had ARs for at least a year now. I have reached my limit on Black rifles so I have not really looked closely to see brands and calibers.

I have recently found that my local WW is very dependable as far as ammo goes which is a major change for them. Maybe they have a new manager that sees some potential in this Redneck part of the world where huntin'and fishin' are a part of most peoples lives. They have been carrying Tula .223, 7.62, 9mm and other calibers in addition to all the WWB, Remington, Federal, Hornady, etc that I expect to see. Academy normally carries more ammo but it is an extra 30 minutes so WW works best. My LGSs are usually way out of line on ammo.

I have never seen a handgun in WW.

I don't like big box stores so when I was told the local WM was stocking up the last 2-3 years we headed over there this past weekend, looking for a rifle for my daughter. Had to be 15 folks there all around one older women employee who knew more about guns then the people buying them. She was a comedian to say the least. Good women and knowledgeable.
After searching for the last few weeks we ended back their yesterday after school. Don't know if this is good or bad but their price on the Rem. Mod 700 in .243 was cheaper then most of the used ones we came across. It fit she liked we bought it.
The women there yesterday was ANTI-GUN and PROUD of it. There were 4 folks in front of me and she screwed up EVERY hunting license she issued. One older gentleman had a lifetime and she charged him $40.00. It took a phone call the the NCWRC only to find out his license would now only be handled thru the mail. This old man was flipping out. All while we waited.
She was the only one allowed to touch the guns and had the BIG key. It took us 1.5 hours to purchase a rifle, she ignored us, she had to call management to turn on the computer so we could fill out the 4473, then she insisted that my info had to be called in even though I have a CCW permit had to call management yet again. All while others waited. Then after all this management had to come over and the Serial numbers had to be read twice by two different managers. We then were escorted out of the store with management carrying the gun as if we were common criminals.
Don't know if it worth the headache of the money saved.
Oh when we left the old man was still complaining about his hunting license.

Don't expect good service from WW unless you just live for disappointment. Their highly trained and motivated employees are legendary. I am routinely shocked by how little some of them care about their jobs though I know it should not be a surprise.
