To be more pacific. Mounting a 4x Weaver Scout Scope on a 270 rifle. The advertised eye relief is 9 inches. That tells me anything further than 9 inches would be a problem. Not sure if I was doing, say, five inches after it was mounted would be a problem. I am looking for a very light, durable optic for this rifle. So instead of trying to mount that thing as far to the rear, I could mount it with maybe 4 or 5 inches of eye relief and call it a day???
