who makes accurate (1 moa) reliable AR-10's for 1500 dollars or less?

It would be very helpful if you had/have an AR-10 and could post actual groups that you got using your AR-10

If you're not set on a true AR-10, I've heard the DPMS .308 models are sub-MOA guns. You can find them as low as $950.

Dpms Lr308-ap4

This was from 100 yards with my 16" DPMS LR308-AP4 from a benchrest using hand loads. This rifle is straight from the factory with a Leopold VX scope and cheap mounts. I have not spent enough time getting the hand loads perfect but I felt pretty good about this early attempt. If I remember correctly it was $1100 without scope.

My buddy has an Armalite AR-10 and says that my short DPMS shoots better than his rifle.

.243 Winchester cases feed smoothly

A better combo of autos and .243 Winchester need yet to be discovered. I've fired thousands of .308 Winnie ammo as my designated duty, and never found a dud that didn't work. Military ammo meets Mil-Specs. Why would Military 6mm ammo be less reliable? One day, my mission was to personally fire 200 M-14s with 20 rounds each. Of course, I had loaders at my side, and Korean children attempting to police my brass. They got a fair share. I tested our entire battery of M14s that day. Camp Snow was a small "group" stationed 6 miles south of the DMZ. I was in charge of twelve great guys, and loved every minute of my year and twelve days there, except for some strange days.

I bought my 10B for 800.00 from Armalite, 60th annv. edition. I shoot handloads 168gr BTHP, no crimp loaded with 41.3 gr Varget. At 300 yds I get between 3 and 4" moa. from the bench.

I think what a lot of people don't understand is AR's. AK's and Mxx rifles are battle rifles. That's what they are designed for, they are not precision target rifles. I cannot mount a scope on mine because it use the trigger to charge the rifle. So at 300 yds with the stock iron sights, I think it's pretty good and I'm every happy with it.

Ar 10

The 10B uses the "upside down trigger" looking charge handle like the original AR 10s. And scopes can not be mounted on the 10B.
Love mine and see no need for a scope. Very accurate and fun to shoot.

I'd have to agree with you on that one. :D
Now that I started reloading I can shoot almost every weekend. If you reload here's what I use and gave me my best shots at 100, 200 and 300yds.
Hornady 168 gr BTHP
Varget 41.3 grns.
Wincherster/cci large rifle primers.
Brass is just about every make available except the Berdan primers.

Dpms 308

I have a DPMS panther 308 with a 24'' stainless barrel (which sucks for hunting so camo wrap is the answer for that fix),any ways i've ran at LEAST 3500 rounds through mine and no problems yet. as far as accuracy, i would say as accurate as you can shoot. i shoot mine out to 650 yds at 10'' pie plates 2''-3'' groups I payed about a 1000 for mine starting and added upgrades then
