Really poor design, although I'm pretty sure SIG farms that work out.
You would think by now they'd have something this stupid fixed, no matter who's driving the tractor.

What is the difference, I love the trigger on my P-365.

I find myself drawn to these newer micro 9's. I particularly find myself liking the idea of the XL. The thing is I have already had 2 subcompact 9's. It seems like I always carry them for a while & then decide I don't like them & want something different or revert to a larger .40 caliber mid-sized pistol. The little single stack micro 9 I own now seldom gets carried I dislike it because I dislike how small the grip is. Then if I do buy I had to decide whether or not to keep the little micro 9 I have now or sell it to get some of the money back out of it.
Isn't the Mossberg 9mm auto a microcompact gun? Haven't handled one like have the others the OP listed.
Check out Old Dog's picture in his post. You'll see that the P365 has a standard curved metal trigger while the XL has a straight trigger.
Internally the same then, that is what I was asking, mybad. The XL has the flat trigger and the 365’s is curved.
I've had my XL about a year now. I was having that exact problem too. Even worse for me is I have stubby thumbs..so reaching the mag release is impossible without changing my grip. I have two HK's with the european mag release. I found myself using my strong hand index finger to drop the mags on the opposite side (again the stubby thumb thing) So with that in mind, I moved the mag release button on my XL to the opposite side. So much easier to drop a mag now without having to change grip. It just feels natural, for me anyway, to do it that way. I just bought a new Shield Plus..moved the release to the other side.I spent a lot of time in the last couple of weeks @ my lgs, handling four of the more popular "micro-compact", 9mm pistols (the Springfield Armory Hellcat, the Ruger MAX 9, the S&W Plus and the SIG 365 XL) and ended up going with the SIG. Hard choice, as each of them have their advantages, but the SIG felt best in my hand. I wasn't happy with the prices ($599.99 for the pistol and $50.00 each for an extra 12 round mag and a 15 round extended mag) but we live in a time when you may never have the opportunity at any price to buy these products again.
Though I like most everything about this pistol, I learned that I have a problem of sorts that I've never heard anybody else complain about with it: accessing the magazine catch is difficult for me to do without altering my grip more than I want to. And when I do get the mag to drop, sometimes the fleshy underside of my XL mitt keeps it from falling free. On the plus side, it's unlikely that I will ever experience an inadvertent mag dump.
I'm looking forward to doing some shooting with this little SIG.

If it's anything like the 320, it's stupid easy. Just take out the mag release and then put it in backwards.I'm giving some thought to doing just that. How hard is it to do?
Pretty easy really. Go on YouTube there are videos galore.I'm giving some thought to doing just that. How hard is it to do?
