nagant m44.. but since it's a deep boom, it doesn't hurt the ears as much as the sharp crack of an ar-15 or a .357mag.
Forget to put your ear muffs on just once and I can guarantee you'll never forget again. The pain alone will see to that."Unless you were on the Enola Gay there isn't anything worse than a Ruger Revolver in 30 cal carbine"
Since so many people have mentioned Mosins, Have any of you tried the tried and true surplus FMJ 7.62x54R back to back with modern US made ammo? The difference in volume is very surprising. With Russian 147gr silver tip FMJ, it has a beach ball sized muzzle flash, and the deafening roar typically associated with the shorter-barrelled Mosin Nagant carbines. With Winchester 180gr SP, my M38 has a tiny muzzle flash, and about the same report as my 20" bbl Mossberg 590 shooting bulk pack birdshot. Now, don't get me wrong, that's not exactly quiet, but compared to the stuff from the spam can, it's a firecracker.
ive got some handloads i usse for hunting but thats the closest my mosin has come to new ammo.
why should i use new wolf or winchester ammo when i gan get 440 rounds for less than 100 bucks
