M1 Carbine 10/22

I had a Chiappa 22LR M1Carbine. The wood is nice and said exchangeable with the GI wood. Rear sight is plastics but said exchangeable with the GI rear sight. Shoot well but I sold shortly it since it does not have a metal ejector and use the plastics magazine lip as ejector. I didn't think it will last long! The bolt removal was also difficult, I recall needs to remove the stock and remove the recoil springs from bottom to access the bolt.

The only issue I have with this is that by the time you buy the stock and all the odd and ends for it. You can probably get a good bit of .30 Carbine to shoot the real deal imo.

These stocks got a start from some folks on RimFire Central more than a decade back.

A couple of 10/22 freaks modified M1 Carbine stocks to fit 10/22 and added Tech Sites.

There was such an outcry that a member that was a stockmaker ( with a machine) began to crank them out.

Eventually this attracted a "real" stockmaker and now...here your are a decade behind the times!

I have not seen a M1 carbine stock 10/22 at an appleseed but the standard 10/22 with Tech Sites may be the most common gun and generally fitted with the GI web sling normally found on the later issued M1, M-14 and early M16 A1 rifles and that is what Appleseed usually teaches.
