Made In America Does That Include Your Guns?

My AR is all American made, I believe.

It just happened that way. I am concerned with quality, if someone else makes things better (like an Austrian), then I will buy from them.

I agree W/ the concept of buying quality CZs make up the largest single group of my firearms. I haven't found an American gun that beats them in quality.

I also understand that is we allow nationalism to dictate our buying habits, we are rewarding mediocrity & giving American companies no reason to attempt to compete.

I agree with both those concepts.
What I find interesting though is that with all the negative comments I hear (usually in Wal Mart threads) about buying anything from China, not one respondant out of 49 ( I'm 2 responses) has picked the "Buy nothing from China " answer

let's see...

1 Beretta- Italy
1 Benelli- Italy
2 RRA's- USA
1 CZ- Czech Republic
1 FN- Belgium
1 Sig- German
1 Weatherby- USA
1 Remington- USA
1 Browning- Canada (my Buckmark is made in Canada)
1 Savage- USA

So that's 5 out of 11 made in the USA. Put me down for 50%ish. I do like to buy American whenever I can, but those Italian shotguns and German pistols sure are sexy.

About 75% USA for me.

I like American guns, but Have a Taurus (brazil) and a Weatherby (Japan) that are good quality too.

I am around 50%, but about 1/3 are C&R mil surp types from when I was accumulating these. Included are a foursome of the infamous Century Turks at 4/$100. :neener: Modern non C&R types are about 75% USA.

1 Glock 50% American, 50% Austrian
1 Glock 100% Austrian
1 Savage American
1 S&W American
(Thats all I have at the moment. I've owned other guns that I've had to sell)

I'm at about 75%. It's not a conscious thing, it just so happens that darn near everything I want happens to be made in the US. And of course, I have some milsurps for fun.

All my handguns are Rugers

All my centerfire rifles are Remingtons
(with the exception of my build-in-progress AR)

All my rimfire rifles are Marlins

My shotguns are a mixture of Remington's and Mossbergs with an H&R (an old one) thrown in for diversity.

I have one gun made outside of the USA and that's my CVA muzzleloader made in Spain.

One American made weapon... and it's a Beretta, so the money goes to Italy. If I bought another American gun, it'd only be because I couldn't find a foreign AK that I wanted. My money goes where the good and affordable guns are, not the country of my birth- which often tries to rip me off in the name of patriotism.

I think right now I am around 90 or 95 percent American.
3 Ruger 10/22s
1 Mosserg 12ga
1 S&W 12ga pump
1 Savage 110L
1 Remington 742
2 S&W handguns 19-3 and 39-2
1 Kimber
1 Essex/Colt
1 Rossi .357 in stainless
I have a Taurus PT1911 in stainless on layaway but the shop has a Colt Special Combat that I keep drooling on so I might switch the money over to the Colt instead.
I'm not real sure how I ended up with this much of an American bias in my firearm collection, I am not particularly pro American product. I think it might be because I have a definite dislike for polymer and steel.
I am not a big fan of buying from countries that oppress their citizens so I doubt I will be buying anything that goes bang from China or a couple dozen or countries. That actually applies to the vast majority of buying of stuff I do.

1 K31 - Swiss
1 k98 - German
1 Marlin - USA

so 33% US made

Reserved/waiting:
1 HK USP - German
1 Dan Wesson CBOB - USA

so in a short while I will be 40% american :p
But then I am Belgian, and don't even have something Belgian made :p

2 S&W
2 Ruger's
1 Beretta(21a USA)
1 Winchester 94
1 Mossberg

All US made except for the 21a magazine...that was made in Italy.

5 American made

3 older guns ( pre 1920)
M1917
Model 12
Colt 1903

2 newer ( post 1980)
Mossy 590
Hi Point 995

7 handguns all US made
4 long guns - 3 US made

It turns out that I really like the products produced by Ruger and Marlin.

I have a sizable number of firearms, and I don't have any made outside of the USA. All my vehicles are USA made and most of my Tools. I worked for a wise , successful Employer once that told me, " I spend all my money as close to home as I can, because I have a better chance of getting it again". Made a lot of sense and I try to do the same. :)

The single one I purchased was made the good 'ol US of A, Ohio to be exact. Great price for it too. My collection that has been handed down to me, I'd say at least one of them is from out of country.
