mag disconnect safety

does the sig 239 have a mag disconnect safety? i read these will cause a shooter to have to pull the mag from the weapon like the browning hi power instead of it freefalling. i have noticed this several times but never tried firing the weapon without a mag. thanks for any suggestions

To the best of my knowledge no SIGs in the P series have a magazine safety.

Are you talking about a magazine disconnect safety or a magazine brake? I know you stipulated the disconnect safety but the phenomena you describe sounds like you're referencing a mag brake. To my knowledge, SIG pistols have neither.

The mag safety on Browning HP's bears against the face of the magazine and often prevents the mag from dropping free during a speed reload.
