"Mall Ninja" definitions?

I see the term "mall ninja" around this board, usually accompanied by some rather hilarious stories. It seems that I must have missed the definitive threads on "mall ninjas". Now, I know what I THINK the term means, but maybe some folks can explain this term to me further. Anyone?

Are you talking about mall ninjas or THE mall ninja?

Mall ninjas are a slang term for copper. Derived from a combination of Uncle Jeff's calling the DDDs "ninjas" and "Mall Cop" bit on "The Bob & Tom Show".

THE mall ninja is something altogether different. Someone will be along with the link. Did you try TFL?
