Thought you might appreciate this one. Imagine explaining this to your grandchildren.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- A Scottsdale man inadvertently shot himself in the buttocks Thursday morning. Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said Daniel Leatherman, 26, heard a disturbance outside his apartment and saw a man he knew fighting with a cab driver.

Leatherman told police that the man, Cody Nunn, 25, had assaulted him in the past, so he grabbed his gun and went outside.

Leatherman told police that he accidentally dropped the gun while hiding it behind his back and shot himself in the derriere.

Nunn and Leatherman's friends took him to a local hospital. When police arrived, Clark said Nunn was drunk and disruptive. He was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

Sounds like dude was being dumb to start with Guns and Drunks do not mix I learned that the hard way......Sad thing is I could have gotten away with anything that day but instead of robbing a bank I discharged through the floor.

He'll be the butt of many crude jokes.
LOL! :D

<diplomatic overtures removed>

I feel bad for the guy who shot himself. Not only is it painful (I don't know personally), but that's also really embarrassing.

The gun obviously landed on its butt.

It was just getting even.

You know, England actually has about twice as many accidental shooting deaths per year, per population, compared to the USA. That's what, 20 times as many per gun? More?
