She hit 5of6 times, using a revolver with a 6 round capacity. She hit 3of5 invaders, before they were able to fire on her.
Using a good semi-automatic rifle with a 30 round magazine my guess is she'd have hit 20 out of 30 times, and hit all 5 before they had the chance to return fire. She fired at the threat (door being violently destroyed). She had the drop, just not the right tool for the job.
Repelling the first round of invaders can lead to a stalemate, where surrender is possible once the victim realizes that it is actually the police who tried to invade her home rather than robbers. If that had happened in this situation, I sincerely doubt she'd have been convicted of anything, in light of the facts that are now coming out.
Regardless, folks should think about whether or not a rifle would make a far better bedside gun than a pistol.
btw, I am in NO WAY advocating killing police. I'm just saying that sometimes bad guys wear bullet proof vests (they are NOT a restricted item in most states), and a homeowner who wants to protect their family should think about that possability.
I am postulating that what happened in Atlanta would have gone down FAR differently if that grandma had used a decent rifle as opposed to a rusty 6 shot revolver.
Kinda makes you think about the motives of the gun grabbing liberals, rinos and neo-cons. And puts this thread
