Last week I picked up a marlin 22. I believe it's a A1 because it has the smokeless greased on the barrel. could be the dl model because I looks like a factory dovetail plug and does not look like it ever had a rear sight.
the original peep is missing, there in a old William peep someone choose up to make a peep. The gun is in nice shape. It kinda looks like a trainer with the sling loops and flat forend. The Bolt seams hard to pull back is this normal with these. I believe this one was made around 1941. The mag looks to be in good shape to.
I don't think the homemade peep will work so I'll just put a marbles rear sight on it. Hope it shoots good.
