I have a Marlin 25 that isn't ejecting shells properly. I know generally it's the ejector that needs a new spring, but I was wondering if this might be the problem:
It's the head of the bolt - the shell gets caught in between those tongs. I would guess they are supposed to be symmetrical and one has been bent in a jam or something, but I know very little about guns. Just making sure before I go bending things. Also, if you look at it from the other side it looks less bent and more like it was made that way:
So is this the source of my problem, or how it's supposed to look, or just a different problem? I appreciate any help, other than the ejection issue this has been a great gun for getting into shooting and I'd like to fix it.
