Mass shootings "hotspots" don't correlate to laws

For those of you didn't read the original article, the study was made at the University of Colorado (not a bastion of Constitutional philosophy) by a graduate student probably working on her Doctoral Thesis, so I wouldn't hold what is presented as solid gold facts. The big variable since Covid is the persecution of law enforcement and the Soros DA factor that has released those who have proven that they cannot peacefully get along with their fellow man. As others have said, it is the man, not the machine. Left out of the Colorado theater shooter story is the fact he had rigged his apartment with enough explosives to destroy the entire building. Fortunately the police were tipped off and the explosives were disarmed before they could kill more than the rifle in the theater.

A fine example of the ad hominem logical fallacy. See Merriam-Webster on-line:
1 : appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect
an ad hominemargument

2 : marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made
made an ad hominem personal attack on his rival

"Terrorist" attack, by definition, necessitates a political or religious motivation. Most "mass" shootings in the US do not meet that definition.
What if the motivation is just to terrify as many people as possible? That serves certain political ends with or without being explicitly stated.

Doesn't matter. Nearly all violent attacks cause someone to be terrified, but that doesn't mean that all of those attacks are terrorism. The motivation (not the end result) has to be specifically political or religious in order to meet the definition.
