After decades of carrying revolvers almost exclusively, back trouble (sciatica) and the rise of violent political mob action in cities to which I must travel for my wife's medical appointments, I find myself regularly carrying semiautomatic pistols for the first time since I retired from the Army 25 years ago.
My new primary carry is a black S&W SD9 with Hi-Viz Sights with two 16 round magazines. The trigger pull is resolving, but, since I'm used to long revolver DA triggers, it's nothing I can't handle. So far, I haven't been able to load more than 15 rounds in either magazine, and I'll pick up another magazine or two for it shortly.
My new backup carry is a Ruger EC9s with two 7 round and two 9 round magazines. The trigger pull is truly outstanding, and I like the safety. I carry it with a flush base mag in it and the two 9 round magazines in my pocket.
May the revolver gods forgive me!
