Memorable Excuses for Selling a Gun?

Someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I've always had things that other people wanted and ultimately wound up with,guns,cars,houses,wife.......

Yeah, I don't understand that one either.

"My wife shoots it better than I do." Sounds like as good a reason as any. I don't remember where I saw it but I think it was for a Mini 14.

I seldom even look at the classified ads for firearms. But my usual reasons for selling are one of the following;
Don't shoot it anymore.
Never shot it.
More interested in other firearms.
Have upgraded that gun with one in better condition.
Need the money.
Have not been hunting much, so thinning the herd.
Not interested in continuing to own the gun.
Don't want it.
Jams but I know it can be fixed reasonably easy.
Selling to free up the money for firearms that I want more.

I need it to fund another semester's worth of textbooks...

Tell me about it.
21 credit hours this semester split between 2 colleges. Classes cost 1400 buck almost 2 grand in books. I didn't have to pay for the classes and eventually the GI bill will pay me back on the books but until then I sold some stuff.

One I've used. Going through a divorce don't want the wife to get them

A well stated reason, even as a joke, gets buyer's attention I think. My coworkers saw a female beggar at a busy intersection holding a sign "Not homeless... Need new b@@bs!" She was a goodwill hit.

I've sold or given away 3 firearms in my life. My reasons are:
Highpoint c9: "I don't use it anymore, and you need a defense handgun, even if it is fat, ugly, and mongoloid."
Highpoint 45: "Was my first .45, and now that I have my xd45c, which is better in every way, I don't need it anymore."
R870: "I think it is fitting that I turn this into a shotgun wedding! Congratulations!" (In truth I wanted a new r870 with a prettier walnut stock.)
