Mesa Tactical Stock on 11-87P

Hi, I have a Mesa Tactical Urbino stock. It is supposed to fit the 870 and 11-87 shotguns. It fits just fine on my 870 Police Magnum, but when I attach it to my 11-87 Police, it does not fit flush (noticeable space) where the stock meets the receiver. It seems like there is some weird geometry in the stock or something and I feel as though it is tightened as far as it will go without over-tightening it and breaking the stock. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be that the 11-87 Police models are different?

12ga 870 rear stocks fit the 11-87 and 1100. I assume your 11-87P had synthetic stocks, but just in case you had wood stock on it, did you remove the Stock bearing plate? Other then that I can see no reason it would have a gap there.

Yep, sounds like a bearing plate issue.
