Although I set up the notifications for 1k spp, I never received a notice that they were in stock. Only saw it here.

1K SPP on the first order, 1K SRP on the second order. The 1K limit per week is for the same primer type. Were you incognito on the second order? If not that there's a head scratcher for me as I ordered 1000 yesterday and afterwards got to wondering if I could have ordered more, when I checked their site it stated I'd have to wait 14 days before ordering anymore.
I've had multiple brands and quantities of primers with the "notify me" activated at Midway and it has yet to do so, I just happened on these by chance.
Hard time believing ? Is that the same thing as calling him a liar ? Call Midway if you are mad ,From Midway?
I am having a hard time believing that given I have alerts on every quantity imaginable from them among 100s of other products that they overcharge-for. Which, given the $1000s I have spent with them over the decades I would assume that I at least have a fair shot of being notified ... but I'll screen shot this now and raise hell with them tomorrow when I ask them why I was not notified about their 1000 per quantity offer.
I have the alerts set too and never got one. Guessing it's an issue on midways end. From Midway?

I saw the post in the sticky here that they were available and ordered 1k.

No business can send out an email to everyone on a given list at the same moment unless the numbers are small. Typically it is handled in batches of X number of customers at a time to prevent the server from overloading. When demand is over the top not everyone will get their email at the same time or even the same day. Sometimes there can be enough volume to actually crash the notification system. If stock runs out before everyone is notified the system may also stop sending notifications to the remainder of the people on the list. No, it's not the same thing and I apologize if I offended you. Your indignation is misplaced and unnecessary.
BTW, dogs are mad ... people are angry. I am neither. I am sorely disappointed in Midway for giving false hope where their notifications are concerned. It caused me, apparently, to miss an opportunity ... because I trusted them. They have no problems sending-out notifications when they discontinue a product or quantity offering ... yet, apparently, their notification feature is failing when it comes to actual product they might restock.
There is a trust issue now.
This past Jan there were bozos selling SPP for 360-400 on GB and that is without shipping, tax or hazmat,I have in stock notice requests with Midway for a few thing, primers included in 2 sizes for CCI, Winchester and Federal. I got no emails and there’s nothing in the junk mail.
I guess that means I gotta just check in.
$70 for 1000 primers is a heck of a lot better than the $200 the opportunists here are asking.

My wife runs a shop with a website and I am her administrator (I have run other sites in the past also).

At least you "get it". Many don't from what I see. It's entirely possible their notification system is not functioning properly.I get that, I do. That's the business I've been-in for the past almost 30 years in IT and Web Development until I recently sold the remainder of my sites to an outfit up in Canada ... all the gun sites at least, and one of the survival sites. Before that it was two large sports content networks ... so I get how notifications work. But I also know that they are supposed-to work on a dated time-stamped queue where those that have been waiting for notifications the longest get the first disbursement of notifications. That is why I always advise people to not keep hitting the notification button because it moves you to the back of the line and resets your place in the order.
Now, with that stated, I believe Midway has a feature in their script whereas it tells you that you are already on the list if you try to rejoin the list ... or I may be thinking of RCBS. Anyway, one of them keeps your place in the queue, the other does not.
And large SMTP notification servers are not sensitive to mass notification overloads these days ... those days are long gone with modern technology that allows a few servers to send out billions of spam-type emails at a time.
With that stated it does make me wonder if Google is somehow involved in this and they could be sending notifications from some firearms related sites off into spam hell or something. I dunno ... but in four minutes I'll be on the phone with Midway asking them for an explanation. I've been doing big business with them for over three decades, even met Larry and Brenda at Shot Show one time ... fine people. This is something I'd almost be willing to bet they are not even aware-of.
So I just hung up the phone with a very nice, very polite, young lady named Caroline ... she has a great phone presence, she really does.
Yes, the sky is falling and only foil hats will be available from here on out. Or you just just use other vendors.
I guess Midway got smart and instead of letting customers backorder items, so they can string them along for months, then cancel the back order so they can then raise the price, they just tell them that they can’t get them, ever. Might loose fewer customers that way but that is for you to decide.
Who knows, maybe they are counting on people that only shop them to think they performed a miracle and brought primers back from the dead, to justify their higher prices over places like Powder Valley...
............. you should get a load of what the 1000 packs are gonna go for when they finally come back....$74.99
