Must have been a lot of work, buying single handguns from different dealers to avoid an FFL filling out the 3310.4 (Multiple disp of handguns) within 5 business days. I thought the 3310.4 needed to go out same day, but it's been 25 years since I filled one out. Joe

The article mentions "The couple's gun buying spree in May of this year came to an end after Elwood purchased three firearms along with ammunition and a high-capacity magazine at Bill's Gun Shop in Circle Pines."

If those were three handguns, that dealer was required to submit the Multiple Sale form by close of business that day. It's likely these Einsteins never knew of a Multiple Sale reporting requirement and had previously done several multiple handgun purchases. Doesn't take much effort on the part of ATF to see what was going on.

Sadly it’s not a great example, one charge out of five with 97 violations of law.

These are the very clowns that help give us law abiding gun owners a bad name. 5 years in the fed pen and a $250,000 fine for each of them may let some folks know there’s a piper to pay when illegally buying guns for criminals or those unfit to own them. But in Minn, like Ore and Ca, I doubt we’ll see it. :(

Like today’s story about the thrice-arrested Portland antifa idiot who was pointing laser pointers in the eyes of the federal police during 3 separate riots. Did a whole 30 days of pre-trial “community service” and the US attorney handling the cases dismissed the charges without convictions. :fire:

No accountability = no deterrence. Been that way since the dawn of man.

Stay safe.
One man's "unfit to own guns" is another man's "infringement."
