My local honey hole had a Kimber Gold Combat Stainless 2 with box for $1200 (they post inventory online). I was going to put down a few hundred since they have 90-day layaway. So I called and asked them to put it away, coming in today to look & buy. Well, as the lady was walking to put my name on it. Someone said, I’ll buy it right now.

DANG! I don’t even like Kimber but I feel SAD NOW!

What’s your story of missing out on the Good Stuff???

These are better than my Kimber. The Colt I bought new for about the same money as the Kimber. The Dan Wesson I bought slightly used for about the same money as the Kimber. The Kimber has 15K through it, the Colt 27K, and the Dan Wesson 2K.

I bought the Vigil used 2 years ago for $1200.00 from a respected member on a 1911 forum. It had a 200 round count on it. The Colt I bought new from Bud's about 7 years ago. Prices on 1911's right now are the lowest I have seen in years if you shop around.

And those are really nice pistols.
Mark mark, what broke on your Dillon? The crank? I've replaced two of those in forty years.
BTW, there was a gold plated/silver trimmed AK in a local shop...I'd be embarrassed to show up at a range with that. A little bling, maybe, but this thing had 'drug dealer' written all over it.

Sounds like something stuck or jammed underneath. Did you try removing the center bolt?

Alright! I just got frustrated and walked away. I’ll remove the plate at 4:am, my reloading time. Had a couples a Friday nights cool ones and I got rules!

you seen that photo comparing Walkalong’s back yard compared to my Seattle “back alley yards” someone is always trying to get me!
