i finally took out the model 29-4 for the first time after i replaced the rebound slide spring as well as the hammer spring with the left over springs from my wolff spring kit.
good deal with the spring kit. one spring kit is good for 3 guns(586, 19-5 and this 29-4.)
no issues with the reduced power hammer spring . CCI LPP all went boom and trigger pull was much better from the last time i shot this revolver. i shot 240 gr PC SWC from MBC at 0.432(i had them sized for the ruger srh but luckily they were good for this gun with throats of 0.431. ) with 800X. this had to be weighed individually on the chargemaster as anyone who has used 800x can surmise.
even tried and did occassinally hit golf balls at 25 yrds after i noted the red center of the paper is smaller than a golf ball. the 2 paper targets are from 10 yrds and 25 yrds offhand double action. 12 rds per target but one was off paper at 25 yrds. the 10 yrds was the nicest one i have ever had with this gun, 8 shots are in the red or at least partially.
