could I just use a butter knife and grease the groves???
Or you could take an old sauce pan, warm up some lube, enough so that when you stand up bullets in the bottom, the lube grooves are covered. Drill out the primer pocket of a 45 colt case the will allow a #10 screw to fit it. Work the case mouth to except a casting. Put the case over the cast, pull out of soft lube, the push the bullet out. 20220218_230724.jpg 20220218_230742.jpg

were did you think of that… do they make a lube die!

If we are talking 45 ACP, buy a .452 lee sizing die. Read up on tumble lubing, which is the easiest and cheapest while still being effective. I use "Ben's Liquid Lube" although there are other formulas (although I tend to powder coat handgun bullets). To tumble lube and size, take the freshly cast stuff and tumble lube with a light coat and let it dry. Push the bullets through the die and tumble lube a second time. When they dry you are ready.

that’s smart! tumble in the lube and then size!!!

NOE molds are excellent in my experience.
Definitely more use friendly than my Lee molds. If you can pass on a few coffees, cans of dip, energy drink, beer, or whatever your vice is. It would be covered in a month.
I'm kind of tight with my money and I'm glad I purchased them.
What do the 6 mold .45 230 run?

I've never tried to calculate my cast bullet cost. At one time most of my stuff was probably paid for and that would have made the bullets almost free. I did have the cost of electricity and bullet lube. Then I started replacing my 2 cavity RCBS molds with Hensley & Gibbs molds or molds from Accuratemolds.com. RCBS makes a great mold but they only make 1 and 2 cavity molds. It helps that I'm a pretty good scrounger and most of my lead was free.
