I will avoid if possible doing business with any anti-gun company. That said, unless I am looking at an actual crime for carrying, I am not all that dissuaded from carrying pretty much everywhere I go regardless of the wishes of the company. If the business has the proper (texas 30-06) posting, then I will respect it and take my business elsewhere. I'm not going to disarm to buy something.

I have, for as many years as I have carried (40+ yrs.), stopped giving my money to any establishments that refuse to allow me to carry. Now granted, Az. has few business's that are gun free, but just the same, I will not give them my business. Thus far, this has had zero effect on my shoppig needs, but even if it did, I would continue to refuse doing business with them.

I do however do business with a couple that only ask that I unload my weapon prior to shopping, they never hold onto my ammo, and are as well aware that I carry loaded speed loaders and additional magazines on my belt, and they have no problem with that. Kind of a starnge policy, but I'm just fine with that type request.

Open or Concealed?

Okay, clear this up: this is about open carry, primarily of long guns - right?

Concealed carry is not prohibited by most of these companies who have "signed on".

Yes or no?

Yes, sorta.

Most of the businesses that MDA has posted on their site have done nothing banning carry. They issued a carefully crafted "soft" request, no power of law even in those states that don't have any specific posting requirements, that customers not bring firearms into their establishments so they'd get MDA off their backs. MDA was unintentionally given ammunition against us by the AR/AK toting antics of misguided OC advocates that spread images and video of themselve carrying rifles in these places of business (shot us in the foot, so to speak).
