Does anyone know if MAX100 is still making the +2 magazine extensions for the Mossberg 590 shotguns?

Thx

Well, I'm not having any luck finding a good phone number for Gun Connection. If anyone has a good number, please PM it to me.

Thanks again.

Well, let me share what I've learned while you're searching...

I found two other manufacturers that are currently making +2 mag extensions for the Mossberg 590's. The +2 is the perfect length to extend the stock magazine on 18-1/2" barreled 590's to the end of the muzzle, making them 7+1 capacity.

Choate Machine and Tool makes a steel one in matte blued finish (upon request) for $45

Nordic Components makes an aluminum one in matte black anodized finish for $80

I was trying to reach Gun Connection because it looks like his custom extension is parkerized to exactly match the 590A1 shotguns.

Hope this helps someone else : )

Thanks,

Not sure about Nordic, but Choate makes a good product. I personally will vouch highly for the Max 100. My 590 feeds better with it than without it. He will also throw ina Wolff spring and Choate follower.

It's "the bomb". Let me see if I can't find it. Still looking

I tried that email this past Monday with no response. I also tried a couple phone numbers and posted a question through one of his auctions. He must just be "unplugged" this week.

Is the MAX100 extension made of steel with a parkerized finish?

It's steel and has a durabake enamel. It matches the 590 finish well enough. Even if it was pink, the main thing is that it's built like a tank and enhances the function and reliability of the shotgun greatly. Highly highly rated product.

I plan to buy one for the 590a1 Mariner I have my sights set on, and refinishing it duracoat silver/stainless. The color/finish is the least of your worries. If you didn't like his finish you could have a local gunsmith beadblast it and parkerize it fully for under 20 bucks I'm sure.

Give him some time, he's probably away. He'll probably ask for a USPS money order in advance as form of payment. But yeah...I've owned Choate stuff and it's good stuff. Good company w/ good customer service. But I wouldn't consider it over the MAX100 by any means unless he's not currentlly in production.

I'd really like to get one. Hope I can reach them next week.

Do you know if the Outside Diameter is an even 1.0"?

I'm looking at mounts for a light that are designed for the factory Rem870 tube and I believe that is an even 1.0". I was thinking that dimension is probably pretty standard, even for mag tube extensions.

I'm not sure to be honest. I can vouch for the fact that it looks good, feeds better and is bulletproof. After that, I'm happy. It's so easy to take on and off too. The threads are perfect-o. You'll be able to find a clamp system that will work...especially if Candewman ever decides to make one. :D

My computer's internet connection has been down for about 3 weeks. I just installed new modem. I will be answering all of my emails in the next couple of days. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Welcome back! I'll wait for your email response regarding the mag extension.

Thx

Dude,
I have a Mossberg 590a1 (18-1/2" barrel).
I bought a +2 extension from Choate. It sticks out several inches past the end of the barrel. I sent it back.

I like the MAX 100 extension for the 590a1 (18-1/2" barrel). I've emailed MAX100 but have not gotten a response. Do you know another means of contact?

Max, i sent 2 emails to the address listed here about 2 weeks ago and i figured that you were tied up with the holidays. Can you tell me how much your extensions go for?

Max100/Craig Prince/Gun Connection

I personally placed an order with Craig for an extension in March of 2010. I was told it would take a couple of weeks. At two different points, a month apart I was told the extension would ship that week. Since June I haven't been able to get any response from him via e-mail, and when I call the only number I found for him, nobody answers and no voicemail picks up. My experience thus far is that he doesn't honor his commitments. I don't know if I will ever get the product or my money back. If I had it to do over again I would not place the order with him.

I'm in the same situation....I ordered and paid for mine at the beginning of May and was quoted 3 weeks...it's now nearing the 4 month mark and I can't get any kind of response from him. Does anyone know him personally that can get up with him or find out there if ther eis some kind of extenuating circumstance for this? Apparently there are several people in this same predicament

I placed my order in May. He was quick to take my money but has not replied ever since he was outside the 45 day refund window of Gunpal. He has also told others that he has over 100 people on his waiting list (all that have paid like me) so 100 people at $65 each is $6500 that he has taken and he hasn't shipped anything out or given refunds.

This is ridiculous. You guys know me and know that I am legit. We need to seek the appropriate legal action.
