"An unusual feature of the car is its small safe, made by Chubb. Included in the original specifications, it secured contingency money set aside to compensate families of hunting assistants killed while stalking big game."

Those Maharajah's think of everything.....wonder how many families were "compensated"?

oneounceload Bet some of the, as you call them "bubba swamp jeeps" will go better. Check out Swamp Buggies of Florida, to see some of the better bubba buggies look like. Nice rolls royce for sure.

Thanks for the post. Those are great pics, and a nice read. It would be, however, way out of my pay grade to buy a vehicle like that. :) My little Ford Ranger did quite well.

Amazing images.

You do share some amazing images.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you did that very thing more often.

Thanks,

salty

I dunno, this would make one heck of a hunting vehicle......if your game shot back.

MCgunner Got to be hard to balence a deer or hog on the kawi and still ride out of the back country.

Only "back country" around here is only accessible by boat. We don't have public hunting, or much of it, in Texas. What we have isn't tough to negotiate via dirt bike, in fact, easier than via 4x4 if you can legally go OFF road since a bike can get between trees.

For getting deer out, here's one solution I've used, though I've tied small ones ON the bike. This is a hog I shot. Note the plastic under it, bought from Cabelas called a "deer sleigher". I just wrap the game up on it and drag it out.

Here's Booger. He's got a pretty good sized "rack" on him. :D

Good morning amprecon
As I was reading through the posts I was thinking of the "Sheridan M551 alumina tank". I was in armor 71-74 and that vehicle was always my favorite to bust brush.
But I have to say your Scout car would be handy also. Just need to add a winch to lift whatever onto that well built cargo rack..

MCgunner I hunted off a old hodaka a life time ago. So long as it was not to weat or too soft i could get back into place way quicker than a jeep or buggy . I had a rolled up sheet of polymer that worked for slideing hogs along ok but then the world of the 110 honda atv came along to the point I could aford one. Had a lot of good times till I wedged the front tire between a couple cypress knees and got tossed over the bars.

Good look'n setup on your scooter. Is that a old winchester stock stick'n out.
One of our locals a few years back sold his HD and bought one of those 650 kawi's. Rode that sucker well down into south america and back. name is Gary Atkins.

Wow. I did see the King Ranch Buick hunting car. It was custom built for hunting with built in gun scabbards and a shooting platform. I think it was a 1953. I was on a guntruck in Vietnam that would be pretty good. It was 6x6 with armored cab, a 50 cal on a gun ring, 2 M60's and a grenade launcher with 5 guys on it.

Nah, that's a 25 year old Rossi M92 saddle ring carbine in .357 magnum. It's a good hog gun to 100 yards and with a switch of ammo and a rear sight elevation change, makes a dandy small game/squirrel rifle. :D

The KLRs are tough bikes, comfortable for long rides, yet capable off road though they're not exactly light. Great for what I need, though, ride there, ride out to the place and back wet or dry, ride home. I'm living about 90 miles from my place, now, but am working out how I can haul the bike and my travel trailer, too. :D I have a van, when I get me a new pickup in a few years, that'll be less of a problem. I just cannot really justify an ATV as I'd never use it except when it's wet (not a problem at the moment) and in hunting season. Friggin' carb would need to be drained and I'd have to keep it on a trickle charger and I'd have to store the thing SOMEwhere. Booger stays in the garage right next to Red, my SV650S. I'm a motorcycle kinda guy. :D Been riding non-stop 45 years now, done flat track and road racing over the years. Just sorta my thing, two wheels.

Amazing Rolls

That is an amazing vehicle. Great pictures and a fun read. Thanks for posting that link because I would have missed out except for you calling attention to it. Neat car.

regards,
