Most guns carried by one character at a single time?

So we are not looking at video games then? I have some characters that pack some serious heat. Even in games with weight restrictions.

In the Sylvester Stallone movie, "Oscar" one of his henchmen had a vest load. All concealed.

Max Rockatanski when he entered Bartertown in "Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome"

I never counted, but...

The movie "City Heat" from 1984 featured Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds. It was light hearted, but the big climax scene demonstrated a multitude of guns carried by each of the protagonists.

Including Reynold's character with an Artillery Model Lugar stuffed down his britches; to be countered by Eastwood's character with a Buntline Special Colt stuffed in his. Both had shotguns (full sized, of course) hidden somewhere.

It at least rates an honorable mention.

One of the better movies I have watched just for an entertainment angle. Laughed and enjoyed most of it. Especially CE calling BR "Shorty" for most of the movie.

Boondock Saints

He might not win for most guns carried but you gotta love the vest.:D I can, and have, just for the fun of it, carried 4 1911's, two lcp's, a Smith and wesson 637-2 and a Berreta 22 tip-up. That is a totaal of eight and it wasn't totally uncomfortable either. I carried three of the 1911' on my waist, one strong side in a vm-2, one week side in a MS np-1 and one in a SOB holster. The 4th 1911 rode in my shoulder rig with two spare mags under my right arm. Each of the lcps were carried in my front pants pockets and berreta was carried in a rear pocket. The S&W was carried in a Desantis ankle rig on my left leg. In addition to the eight guns I was also able to carry and conceal two 1911 mags on my belt and another 6 in various pockets. If I were to wear a vest or a coat I could probaly bump the count to 12.

I'm not sure what your state's laws are, but if you have to declare to an officer that you are carrying, can you imagine if you had been pulled over? I'm sure that would raise some eyebrows.

As far as movies, probably Neo. It's hard to touch the number of guns he had under his coat.

Incidentally, in real life, the pirate Blackbeard supposedly carried 6 pistols (keep in mind these were single-shot weapons), in addition to his sword.

I just counted the Matrix scene, he used 8 guns during that particular scene, and another is visible in a shoulder rig. IMFDB lists him as carrying "at least four pairs of berettas" going into the operation to get Morpheus back, which would total him to 14 or 15 (since one of the pairs was used in the lobby scene).

Does 'The Matrix' count? Since the gun fights weren't in the physical world, Neo could basically create whatever was needed as he needed it.

I always liked the club entrance scene from 'Men Of War' (1994 Dolf Lundgren). When they are checking their guns at the entrance to the club, the one guys keeps pulling out pistols. It's not a huge amount, but the way it is done is funny.

No, they loaded stuff in their program, and took it into the Matrix with them. He put all of those guns into his trench coat before going into the building where Morpheus was being held.

I need to watch the movie again, but I counted the guns that Swarz...uh...Arnold carried in Commando, and it looks like he only brought 4 or 5. Also brought a lot of explosives and melee weapons, and picked up a few rifles and a machine gun, but he didn't go in with that many.

Was a character in 'Ride With The Devil' who was carrying two saddle pistols, two on the hips, two slung over shoulders and crisscrossed holstered on chest and a long gun.

I thought of the Stallone movie "Oscar", also. For those that haven't seen it, you're missing comedy gold. No action hero movie, just a straight up comedy played well by everyone in the film.

And yes, his henchman does unload a preposterous amount of weaponry. Snaps Provalone remarks "Geez, it's like disarming Germany".

I suddenly had an idea where there's a SHTF situation in a movie and a guy goes to a big chain gun store to find they've been cleaned out of everything but derringers, so he grabs about 50 NY reloads.

Years ago, there was a fellow named Chic Gaylord who was a combat-shooting expert and holster maker as well.
A widely-circulated photo showed mister Gaylord standing there in his suit, carrying some 20 firearms (I forget the exact number) concealed.
Of course, he was a rather chunky guy and the suit was a typical for-the-times item that was rather loose and had pleated trousers.
Still, quite impressive.

There used to be a surprisingly good selection of gun related books at my local library, including some stuff from the 1950s and 1960s. There were some Arco books, IIRC, one of which was sort of a compendium of firearm articles.
One that I remember rather vividly had a headline, "He Hides Guns for Cops" - his specialty was showing plainclothes police how to hide their heat. In a striking series of photos, this man was shown, in traditional suit-and-tie detective attire, looking perhaps a tad "bulgey" but otherwise unremarkable. The next batch of stills showed just how many handguns he had concealed about his body - in the last of them, a table was strewn with revolvers and semiautos...

Edit: Ah, I started writing this post shortly before Bikewer chimed in - it looks like he's talking about the same person that I saw in the Arco book...

I don't own the movie and can't find pictures, but I recall the one-armed boy in Master and Commander carrying quite a few flintlock pistols when they boarded the French ship near the end.

Makes a lot of sense to carry a bunch of one-shot weapons during a boarding action.
