Opps I missed that caveat in OP's post or I would have not posted by above post. But in my defense the fictional M41A Pulse Rifle inspired a real gun.

I agree, those real gun firing props are exempt.. they are real guns with add ons :)

indy where did you find those Bogart pics?

Will do some more digging , but I had found those in web page that had a story about bogats a few years ago, Now I can not find it... It was written in the 50s.. Copied the photos, but for the life of me can not find that story.. Will look more, it had both Bogart and Bacall in the story. Now the story had nothing more about the guns other then the photo labeled as such.

This could have been a cool thread if people had bothered to read the original premise-

No Sci-Fi fantasy weapons and no long lists of "just about everything".

My favorite- Sgt. Stryker's M1 Garand

I agree, but it's hard to not mention more than one gun in a tv show or movie that we enjoyed...we are only human and made of flesh.

Other firearms come to mind, but the one that stands out to me the most is the Quigley rifle. That firearm was so integral to the movie it should have been listed as a cast member. And that movie is 30 years old.

James Caan's sawed off double in El Dorado. Just because I'm betting somewhere someone decided to make their own and see if it was as bad as the movie depicted.
Donald Sutherland's 1911 in The Mechanic

Well, it was close to being a Lemat. That was a conversion reproduction, the real one ihas a percussion cap muzzle loading cylinder and muzzle loading shotgun barrel. Still, it looks really cool.

One gun I haven't seen listed is the 454 Casull revolver James Caan used in Alien Nation

Oh, Rachel carried a really nice pair of guns.

Well sure enough. interesting.

Forgot one.
Bruce Willis [ one of my favorite actors ]
In the movie " 12 Monkeys " .
He was running with, and trying to shoot a LeMat in his last scene at the airport.
I was REALLY curious as to why they chose that pistol

Not so fast, Same lady, Same gun, Same Movie.. but better angle
She could be the worlds worst shot and still kill me because just looking at her would make me forget I had a gun.:what:
By the way you can find those Bogy pics if you Google " Humphrey Bogarts gun collection.

I've always thought that was a really cool handgun. If you've ever read the book "Cold Mountain", he carries a LeMat. Confederate General P.G.T. Beauregard was LeMat's cousin and backed him in the production of the gun. Notable soldiers who carried one included J.E.B. Stuart.

Thompson "machine gun". Never had a chance to use one.

Shawn Grear: You mentioned the MP-40. Also a very cool gun.

At the club in Newburgh IN, near Evansville, a youngish guy let me shoot his Select-Fire Sturmgewehr. Almost no recoil and a slow rate of fire. 7.92x33 mm.

The gun's owner has an unusual nerdy, unique knowledge of all of his weapons. You might know who he is if you are a member there.
